For transportation purposes, I would suggest you walk towards the main road. From the main road, you will get plenty of buses towards Krishnanagar and Ranaghat. You can also get totos(a reliable battery operated e-rickshaw which can hold 5 people) from there also. I would suggest that you avoid taking rickshaws or trolleys which are available in plenty near the stations as mostly they will charge more from you and often are very rude.
