The Double Bed Retiring Room at this station is awesome! It's on Platform number 1. The room has an air conditioner (split AC) and two separate metal cupboards with their own doors. There are inbuilt locks and also slots for you to use your own lock. You'll find a table and two chairs in the room. The washroom is spacious and clean. Since it's on the platform, you can clearly hear train announcements inside the room (which might bother some people during night stays). They provide a door lock and you can also use your own lock. Cleaning is done around 9 AM. The canteen on Platform 1 is very close to the retiring room.

PF no 1 pe Double Bed Retiring Room bahut badiya hai. Yeh ek AC kamra hai (Split AC ke sath) jismein 2 section metal almirah hai (alag-alag darwaze ke sath) (Inbuilt locks aur khud ki lock ke liye slot hai), ek table aur do chair. Bathroom bahut bada aur saaf hai. Kamre ke andar platform pe hone ke karan, train announcement ka awaaz bahut tez aur clear sunai deta hai (Jo raat bhar rehe jane ke durghatna ke liye samasya ho sakti hai). Iske alawa, doosra lock bhi uplabdh hai aur aap khud ki lock bhi laga sakte hai. Saaf-safai lagbhag 9 AM ke aaspas hoti hai. PF1 par canteen retiring room ke bahut pass hai.

Yo, here's the lowdown on the Meerut City Jn. Retiring room (AC double bed):
1. They charge 300 bucks for 12 hours and 600 for a whole day.

2. Let me tell ya, the cleanliness and maintenance are trash. The bedsheets haven't been changed since the last guest checked out. The cupboards don't have locks and are all dusty and rusty with some used water bottles lying around. The room was kinda mopped but the table was left dirty. The switch boards are coming off the walls and the chair only has 3 legs, with one of them being broken. The bathroom is a mess with leaky taps and the curtains are all covered in gross fungus. Yuck!

3. Don't even get me started on the ambiance. Remember what I said in the first point? Well, on top of that, you'll have the pleasure of listening to live music in the form of constant railway announcements. The retiring room is right on the ground floor, so good luck trying to sleep with all that noise.


Overall, if you're only gonna be in the room during the day and you'll mostly be out and about like me, then book it for 12 hours. But if you actually want to have a decent night's sleep, hell no! Spend a bit more and get a proper hotel. For around 300 to 400 bucks extra, you should be able to find something way better.

Kuch batao Meerut City Jn. Retiring room (AC double bed) ke baare mein:
1. Charges - 12 ghante ke liye 300 Rs. aur 24 ghante ke liye 600 Rs.

2. Saaf safai aur rakh-rakhaw - Bahut kharab hai. Bed sheets subah ke baad sey nahi badli gayi hai (ye toh pehle hi check in karte waqt wada kiya gaya tha). Almari mei lock nahi hai aur bahut saara dhool, zang aur kuch purane paani ke bottle par rakha hua hai. Kamre ko jadha ragad diya hai lekin table nahi saaf kiya gaya hai. Vidyut points sey wiring latka hua hai. Kursi sirf teen taang par khadi hai aur ek taang toota hua hai. W/C aur basin saaf nahi hai aur kuch taps leak kar rahe hai. Parda kabhi sey saaf nahi kiya gaya hai aur bahut fungus hai.

3. surroundings - Sabse pahle point toh padh hi liya hai na, toh achchi kuch expect nahi karein. Iske alawa, railway announcements sun sakte hai, jisse ki live music ki feeling ho. Iska office ground floor PF1 par hai aur sidha PF par jata hai. Mein wagerah, yahaan ek minute bhi neend nahi aayegi yakeenan.


Saarvajanik rup sey kahunga ki, kisi ke sath bhi nahi jana chahiye.

The canteen is like right there on platform #01, at the SRE end. It's all clean and hygienic and stuff, but don't expect a lot of options. They mostly have packaged snacks, patties, and tea, ya know.

Kenteen sulfur hai platform number ek, SRE ant tak.
Saaf-suthra hai, lekin kuch jyada nahi hai. Sirf pack karte saman lekin patties aur chai hai.
