IRCTC refurbished Retiring Room at Gwalior Railway station.It is located on Platform 1 of Gwalior Railway Station.Eight Rooms and One Dormitory Hall: The retiring room running with the facilities of a three star hotel will be fully AC. It will have six double bed ACs and two Maharaja's rooms. It will have TV, Freeze, Attached Lath-bath facility. Along with this, a dormitory hall has also been kept, which will have 20 beds. Passengers can stay for just Rs 150 for three hours: AC room and dormitory fares are fixed hourly. Three hours rent of a double bed AC room is 500, six hours 700, nine hours 900, 12 hours 1300, 24 hours 1500 and 36 hours same fare will be 1.5 times and 24 hours plus GST. 6)Saas Bahu Temple built in the 9th century, the Saas Bahu temple attracts tourists and devotees alike. Contrary to what the name suggests, the Saas Bahu Temple does not mean Saas( mother-in-law) and bahu(daughter-in-law) but is rather a short form of Shastra Bahu, another name of Lord Vishnu.

9)Padavali and Bateshwar Situated around 40 km from the main town of Gwalior, Padavali is an fortress comprising many ancient temples. The temples have intricate carvings and one of the temples also have erotic carvings and hence famous as mini Khajuraho.

10)Sarod Ghar(Kala Vithika) Music enthusiasts must visit the Sarod Ghar, which is a museum of music and has been set up in the ancestral house of the legendary Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan

11)Gurudwara Data Bandi Chhod is associated with Guru Har Gobind Saheb, his imprisonment in the Gwalior Fort and his release along with the 52 kings who were held captive. The Gurudwara has immense religious importance and is visited by the followers to pay homage to the great man.

12)Gopachal Parvat is a famous for the 7th and 15th century rock-cut Jain monuments. The monuments are dedicated to Jain Teerthankaras - Adinatha, Mahavir, Neminatha and Rishanabhanatha - whose idols can be seen in a meditative posture. They are a part of 100 monuments located in and around the city.

13)Rani Lakshmi Bai Tomb Built in the honour of the Warrior Queen of Jhansi, Rani Lakshmi Bai, her Samadhi is a famous attraction. Other than the Samadhi, the attraction has a stunning 8 metre tall metal statue of Rani Lakshmi Bai. A fair is conducted every year in June at the location in the honour of the Queen. It is a perfect attraction for history buffs.

14)Moti Mahal, Gwalior

16)Man Mandir Palace, Gwalior
Man Singh Tomar of Tomar Dynasty built the Man Mandir Palace, situated inside the majestic fort in the city. The palace also has a Jauhar pond, where Rajput women performed the Sati tradition.

17)Tigra Dam, Gwalior
Built on Sank River, Tigra Dam is a freshwater reservoir and a major source of water for Gwalior city. It is also a popular picnic spot, where one can enjoy speed boating, paddle boating as well as water scooter rides. If you are looking for a peaceful spot that is a little far from the city, we recommend Tigra Dam.

18)Gwalior Zoo is a must-visit place for wildlife lovers and a great place to spend the weekend with kids and family. The zoological park was built by the royal family in the year 1922 and is spread in an area of 8 hectares. It is home to various rare animal species including a white tiger and others like hyena, golden pheasant, black buck, bison and spotted deer.

19)Mitavli among the places you should not miss on your visit to Gwalior are the heritage sites of Mitavli and Padhavli. Visiting these sites is a great means to discover the not-so-known aspects of the heritage of Madhya Pradesh and also to add some interesting pictures to your Madhya Pradesh folder.
These are temples, the construction of which dates back to the 9th and 10th centuries. Though the site is in ruins, you can still marvel at the stunning architecture they exhibit. The two sites, that are easily accessible from Gwalior, sit at a closer distance from each other. Besides, Jat Rana Fort located at Padhavli is equally interesting and one of the most scenic road trips to take in Madhya Pradesh.

21)Baija Taal Cultural Complex is Gwalior city's latest attraction. It was built by Baija Baj, belonging to the Scindia family. Originally here stood an . baija Taal is situated in the center of the city Gwalior. It has been built to enhance the beauty of moti mahal by Jiwaji Rao Scindia.

23)Behat: 35 KM away from Gwalior, this village is considered to be the birth place of famous musician Tansen (1532-1599 AD) of Akbar's court. There is an ancient Shiva temple here, about which legend has it that it was crooked due to the influence of Tansen's singing. It is still the same today. In the list of 36 singers of Akbari-Durbar given in Ain-Akbari, 15 were residents of Gwalior. Tansen was also among them. It is possible that Tansen was originally a resident of Behat and later settled in Gwalior. His samadhi is near the tomb of his music master Sufisant Muhammad Ghaus in Gwalior.

Chaat will be found in many shops in Gwalior and if you want to eat chinese fast food then Phoolbagh Choupati is the best, and SS Kachori Wala is the best samosa shop in Gwalior. If you come to Gwalior then you will definitely try Gajak once here :)

When you enter from the Main Gate of Gandhi Road side/Racecourse Road side than the first hall is Reservation Office. The second hall has Enquiry, State Bank ATM, Platform Ticket Counter, Taj Express/Shatabdi Express current ticket counter. The third hall has General Ticket Counters and it opens at Platform No. 1.

When You enter from Hajira/Padav/Tansen Nagar side than there is a single hall for all the services and it opens at Platform No. 5 (NG) and Platform No. 4 (BG).

Many Restaurants and Milk Shake/Juice shops are there outside platform 1 side. National Speed Post Center and a Medical Store are also outside the station on platform 1 side.

For sharing Tempoos towards Thatipur/Morar/Gole Ka Mandir, the stopage is in front of General ticket couter hall at PF.1 after crossing auto stand.

Tempoos for Bada, Kampoo, Foolbagh are available at Petrol Pump outside station from PF No. 1 and outside station from PF. No. 5.
