Alight here for Alangudi (Gurusthalam). One can take buses going towards Kumbakonam to reach the temple. Buses are available at a very good frequency.

Coach position for various trains halting at Nidamangalam Junction. the coach position for which the "Gate" is mentioned are the coaches that would stop in the road while the train is stopping, as there is a national highway (NH 83) passing through the center of the station. So the coaches adjacent to which it is marked as "gate", it is better to board the nearby/adjacent coach and go to your coach through the vestibule..

Small dusty rly stn, no waiting hall, food stall outside stn avoid. coimbatore exp stops here, Use thanjaur stn which better facilities, food stalls etc.
