I had travelled from TVC to TCR in 20632 Vande Bharat Express on 4th November 2023. I have attached a pic of catering services available in the train. Could be useful for passengers to plan for opting food preference.

I was not aware of the fact that incoming 20631 will not return as 20632. But the porters and VB staff guided me back to PF.No.1 where another rake would be coming. On that day, 20632 ran with white rake. Our coach was full. Intermediate travellers are more in number. Got good priority till Kayankulam. After we joined ALLP line, we were crawling and halted before Cheppad for 30 mins. Again we started and stopped after 10 mins. This happened again and again. And we halted at Harippad. Finally after getting delayed by more than 1.5 hrs, we arrived at ALLP. This was due to signal failure as informed by TTE. After ALLP, we were trolled very badly being halted at MAKM to give way for some other train. Got good priority post ERS.Finally, we reached TCR delayed by 2 hours. One passenger who boarded from ERS was complaining to...

the TTE as he had to miss his connecting train due to this delay.

Overall Feedback:
Food, journey everything is excellent. Had there been no signal failure, the journey would have been pleasant. People can opt for this train without hesitation.

Agree Thanks
Good feedback. Yes there are a set if trains departing from ERS around 8pm like ERS-Okha, ERS-Ajmer and few others as well. For people between TVC-ERS (via Allp), this VB is a good connecting option. And rightly said that the main success of VB in Kerala is because of the intermediate passengers and coverage to almost all major towns/districts in Kerala

Adding to the above tip, the VB attendants were all local people which I have not seen so far in my travel experience. They speak Malayalam and also Hindi very fluently.

Useful
Yes this was highlighted in the beginning when the services started and also there were escalations that the food served was not local cuisine and was not good. Later they have corrected it. The base kitchen cooks are local staff and also good to see that they have deployed staff who can converse in local language. Hope the other VB' in TN and Karnataka also take a leaf out of this

We have tried dinner at Nila residency near railway station (should be walkable from station)
I'd say food quality (north indian dishes) is excellent . Though it's bar and restaurant , bar is separately placed so no disturbance in restaurant.
Also, there are couple of ATM's present just opposite to station.

Shoranur Junction is the largest railway station in Kerala located at Shoranur, Palakkad District. The station stands at the junction of four railway lines, one from each direction. This is the busiest railway junction in Kerala, as most of the major trains running through the state pass either through the railway station or the link line.

i wished the triangular railway station project came up here. It would have been the first triangular railway station ever and also it would have been helpful and convenient to the passengers. So sad that the project got dropped.

i agree to it but i had mentioned that "Shoranur is the busiest railway junction in Kerala, as most of the major trains running through the state pass either through the railway station or the link line, a few hundred metres away". Theoretically you are right. :)

Our train 16860 MAQ-MS EXP was expected to arrive at 1:25pm till 1:20PM no announcement /board written was made which platform it arrive. Luckily that day through this site I knew it will arrive on pt. 4 while others were in hurry, jostling , pulling each other in staircase and came down to pt.4 since 2 mins of train arr. So at least board written can be made. So people who are boarding can use this site can board the train
