This station has 7 platforms with almost nil seating facility on all platforms. SO, all the time all the floors of most of the platforms are occupied by waiting passengers, it is really difficult to move with your luggage. Even the staircase of FOB are occupied. The platforms are dirty & not very wide. So many Rajdhanis originates from this station, but the facility is pathetic. If possible, try to catch train from ndls which has far better facilities than this station.

The place is called as Mortakka and there hardly are any restaurants in the town. You'll get tea and snacks outside the station and nothing else. For food travel either towards Omkareshwar or towards Sanawad.
