SWR should run atleast one more Garib rath train from SBC to BGM and SBC to BJP (Via UBL) in all festive seasons... All other zones have announced many special trains to same destinations, and SWR is still silent... Bangalore Hubli Bus fare is ranging in 1200-3500. Doesn't Railway need to intervene and enjoy the opportunity by running Special Fare Express at 550 for Sleeper and 900 for Garib Rath AC.... it will surely hit... YPR KCVL Garib rath needs to be scraped and the same can be runned on YPR -... more...
BGM on all Fridays from YPR and on Sundays from BGM.... I bet it will surely go super hit.....

Sir, I agree that intra state connectivity in Karntaka is of prime importance and the state capital certainly needs to be connected well to all parts of the state and there indeed is a lot of rush to either coastal karnataka(Which Railways still arent able to serve properly due to HMRDC and ghat constraints) or north karnataka.SWR should certainly prioritize that. . Having said that, KA shares a very close relationship with erstwhile AP, now the two states of TG and AP, economically and culturally, Hyderabad Karnataka depends on Hyderabad for business and... more...
so do most parts of North eastern KA bordering TG and AP. Similarly Bellary belt on areas extending upto Guntur and Krishna districts in AP. However, SWR, apart from BZA-BNC/UBL pass, SBC-HUP pass, UBL-SC daily exp and YPR-KCG tri weekly express, couple of trains to tirupati does not operate any trains to any part of AP or TG except passing trains(Maybe a few more that i missed like kuppam MEMU). SCR on the other hand runs SC or KCG to GUR/BIDR/BJP/RC daily passengers to all around north hyderabad, TPTY-UBL pass and even the recent SWR section trains in kalyanadurgam, almost all trains between KCG-SBC including specials to KJM, BZA/MTM/CCT to SBC, trains from VSKP are operated by ECoR. . All I am trying to say is, SWR is running one special to VSKP which also is a major crowd drawing city to BLR and unlike many other states upwards has a significant amount of KA based businesses and interests too. if u are talking about vinayaka chaturdi the people of AP celebrate on friday morning and people try to leave on wed and Thursday depending on the distance and arrival time of trains. inspite of it now its RAC 27 and is filled with WL48 on 1st sep when its only weekend. We accept that there should be a second train to BGM and Mangalore which are most populated in KA but figures of VSKp spl dosent show its waste. infact KSRTC is operating 9 buses of which 6 are specials on thrusday with fares of Rs 1625 to vijayawada and all are filled.
Regrettt in Sleeper class even with 18 Sleeper Class coaches !!! There is also YPR-PVR exp on that day, still reached Regret with 20days remaining !!!! This shows the demand SWR is neglecting in its own jurisdiction and caring to run trains for the sake of other zones and states. SWR has to open their eyes atleast now. How can there be just a single daily proper night train in Bengaluru-Belagavi sector.
Yes, SWR will even run a weekly regular special for VSKP that too even with idle time of nearly 21hrs there, but the cities in KA get a Special 3-4 times a year. The whole route from UBL to Kudachi has to survive on Rani Chennamma, GDG to Vijayapura has to survive on Golgumbaz and Ballari to Koppala have to survive on Hampi.
It has reached RAC 240 even with 18 Sleeper Class coaches for YPR-BGM in this Special train with still 1 month left for its run, Queen of SWR Rani Chennamma has GNWL 270 and YPR-PVR Spl has WL 23. Dont understand y SWR cannot see the huge demand for a daily SF from SBC to BGM. Even RAC 6 doesn't get cleared in 2A of Rani Chennamma, one cannot imagine the GS class of RC.
Its a separate rake. This special ran for Ramzan much before the 2 rakes were available. They do have spare rake stabled at BYPL or UBL. Sometimes given for Guntur-Bhopal Special once a year. Or Rajyotsava Special or Basava Jayanthi Special.
