Spotted this train while traveling in Emu local at Avadi outers when my train was waiting for signal. Coaches of this train are not maintained properly and SL coaches are looking dirty and pathetic and able to detect bad smell in air from toilets. Also old ICF wheels making too much noise while running (I think due to poor lubrication of bearings) which may cause fire due to friction if not noticed properly. SR should take notice and give LHB must as soon as possible as coaches are looking old. The train was moving fast so that I couldn't able to take pics properly sorry for that. Also it's RSA partner MAS Allapuzha express requires LHB stock as soon as possible. What's your opinions on this?

It is unfortunate to hear that the maintenance and cleanliness of the coaches on the M.G.R Chennai Central - Thiruvananthapuram Central SF Express are not up to the mark. It is important for the authorities to take notice and address these issues promptly.
The presence of bad smell from the toilets can be quite unpleasant for passengers, and it is crucial for proper maintenance and cleanliness of the bathroom facilities to be undertaken.
The noise from the old ICF wheels may be a cause for concern, especially if it is due to poor lubrication. This potential friction can indeed be a fire hazard, so it is vital for the necessary precautions to be taken to prevent any untoward incidents.
In terms of the coaches looking old, it would be ideal for the South Region (SR) to consider providing LHB coaches as soon as possible. LHB coaches are known for their improved safety features and passenger comfort, and the upgrade would benefit the passengers.
As for the MAS Allapuzha Express, if it is also in need of LHB coaches, it would be beneficial for the authorities to prioritize the allocation of these coaches to ensure a safer and more comfortable journey for the passengers.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and let's hope these concerns are addressed promptly by the authorities.
