Doubling of KNJ-STB line. Wonder what will happen to NH 34 as from STB to KNJ the line runs parallel with the highway. 5. Electrical wiring works going on in Nabadwip Ghat - Krisnanagar City Jn. section.
People of Lalgola are not getting benefit of double line. Time from Sealdah is same. Conversion of eloco to EMU may be beneficial to rail and good for short distance passenger, but for those who will be travelling from Sealdah to Lalgola sees no benefit. Saved 30 minutes go to stoppage at Krishnanagar.
Speed in a section depend upon the conditions of the railway tracks not on whether electrification is done or not although electric loco can accelerate much faster and give a better speed but only up to a limit
I am talking about 30 min stoppage at Krishnagar. Had it been just 5 min, the train could reach Lalgola 25 mins earlier. After double line each train in Krishnagar Lalgola section is saving around 30 mins from zero crossing time; but it is not reflecting since 1. Timetable is not revised 2. Some train is running slow 3. Some train has been made EMU with 30 minute stoppage at Krishnagar.
