Majority of the passengers were travelling to Purulia and some to it's district bond areas. All were discussing about restoration of 68019/20. Few Chas(Bokaro) passengers took bus from Purulia to Chas(as no train available) and I accompanied them till Chas morre as I had to go to Kotshila junction point for speed upgrade inspections.. I talked with few of them regarding problem with transport and they were very vigorous with the topic. They said that BKSC station is very far and hardly any train is available for Purulia, Jamshedpur, Balarampur, Chakulia and few more places. They are not at all satisfied of this poor connectivity. Buses are their only hope.
I am talking about the passivity and silence exhibited by RNC Division... And I congratulate ADRA for taking the intiative... It is a step taken in the forward direction... However ADRA can't do everything on it's on unless it is supported by heavyweights like CKP & RNC
See there are buses... a good number of buses to PRR from ASN, TATA, RNC, DHN, BKSC... but the problem is the roads are pathetic especially from Asansol side near a place called Saltora... And taking a non-AC bus in this weather is a damn punishment... My deep sympathies go to the passengers in the PRR belt especially those migrant workers who are daily passengers and totally depend on the affordable local trains instead of the more costly affair, that buses are!
* True, BKSC station is very far and local connectivity of BKSC within its division is not as good as ADRA-PRR, ADRA-ASN, ADRA-KGP sections. * I hope, SER will start MEMU services like BKSC-CHAS-ADRA-KGP , BKSC-CHAS-PRR-TATA. * Both IPTN and CHAS stations being closed to city will be preferred by bus passengers.
