why the spl train r getting lates more than 5-15 hrs, is this are any rasam aur riwaz that all train should be late
Reason:
1. Low Priority
2. RSA - Rake Sharing Arrangement: Has to wait & get late!!!!
3. Rush Clearance holds high not persisting schedule!!!

Its not only special train dear...... sometimes regular superfast trains also get trapped in this.. Take example of 2142 Rajendranagar Express or Lichhavi Express.

- 3 Rakes for the approx same run as of Pune-Patna Exp (4 Rakes)
- 6 Hours stoppage @ PNBE (late recovery isnt possible), while Pune-PNBE halts 18 hrs
- Train till BSB manages with 3 rake, while PNBE pose extra 7-9 hrs (up+dn) load

I traveled in this train from Varanasi to Nasik road on 19th April 2010. It was late by 4 hrs at Varanasi and while reaching Naski road it took 14hrs more that actual time. It was worst experience travelling in this train. Because of this train I wasted money from the tatkal tickets which were booked from Manmad Jn to Hyderabad which I couldn't catch due to delay. Never ever travel in this train.
It is your fate. It is a lesson for others also in booking special trains.
In summer rush & all train full, u arnt left with much option, but to get confirm seat in any train according to ur journey plan!!!
Again, SPL are meant to clear rush, with no priority enroute & many times they share rake, making them start late & later on end late to destination!!!
But still, 8-10 hours is an extreme case, depicting total ill management.
