Both Kolkata Chitpur and Kolkata Shalimar stations are in Kolkata....both trains have almost same time table.

no chart is provided to driver or guard for stoppages they are only provided with caution order (speed restiction,engineering works etc.,.) but it may be problem of SM due to a special train he may not have proper guidance so after he came to know it the train already passed 25 kms

Once upon a time there was a signal to proceed likewise with the shramjeevi also but Driver on the train not skipped the station

Department of Signals, Running department and cabin man are hiding their mistakes and accusing each other.The station master, traffic inspector, Loco Inspector, cabin man & signal man is asked to send their Reprt to DRM LKO DIVISON. loco pilot get the caution which tells on what station and how long to stop the train And stopping chart is near the guard Negligence of the driver did not stop at the train station urge Sultanpur Pressure pipe present in the guard room can be opend by the guard could stop the train

For long distance trains I have been watching that they required red signal to stop at the station (scheduled stop). But local trains (in Kolkata) does not require this. They stop at a green signal and leave after few seconds. So, whose duty is it to determine if a train has a stoppage at a specific station- guard or driver or anybody else?
