Initially there were talks about the NED train being diverted, but there were some protests from Sedam and other towns and it was scrapped even before it was made an official proposal. Probably the Bidar trains too faced some similar pressure.
Secondly, in the initial days after opening the line, CR cited some PF issues at GR for handling trains on the GR-BIDR route. If I am not wrong, the BIDR line is connected only to PF1 at Gulbarga. This could be a problem for them.

BIDR-GR definitely needs long distance trains, as it is a reasonably long branch line and also provides connectivity options that weren't possible before.
Until the Raichur-Ginigera line is completed, RC-Gadwal line will be better served by frequent DEMU/passenger services. It is just a 50km branch line and end-to-end travel will hardly take 1 hour, with the routes at both ends also connecting to Hyderabad and Guntakal. In such a scenario, instead of trying for a new long distance train just for this 50km section, since both ends of the section are already on major long distance routes, frequent end-to-end passenger services will let people catch long distance trains at Raichur or Gadwal.

saikiran 59 blog postsAs of now there is no idea when all the regular services will start or some may not start and permanently cancelled. So for new trains it may take more time which cannot be defined timeline.
