Updates on Covid-19 from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; Number of recovered patients exceeds the number of active patients; More than 50 lakh samples tested by ICMR; Central teams deployed in 6 cities to assist States in COVID-19 management
As many as 5,991 patients were cured of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. This takes the total number of patients recovered to 1,35,205, while the total number of active cases is now 1,33,632. For the first time, the total number of recovered patients has exceeded the active cases. The recovery rate now stands at 48.88%.Also, the number of tests conducted by ICMR has exceeded 50 lakhs; it stands at 50,61,332 today. In the last 24 hours, ICMR has tested 1,45,216 samples. ICMR has continued to ramp up the testing capacity for detecting the Novel Coronavirus in the infected persons. The number of government labs has been increased to 590 and private labs has been increased to 233 (a total of 823).
Central Teams are being deputed to provide technical support and handhold the State Health Departments and Municipal Health Officials to review public health measures being undertaken for COVID-19 in six cities of Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi and Bengaluru.

All CGHS empanelled hospitals, notified as COVID-Hospitals by State Governments, to provide treatment facilities to CGHS beneficiaries
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued an order to all Health Care Organizations (HCOs) empanelled under CGHS. All CGHS empanelled hospitals, which are notified as COVID-Hospitals by State Governments, shall provide treatment facilities to CGHS beneficiaries as per the CGHS norms, for all COVID related treatments. Similarly, it is directed that all the CGHS empanelled hospitals, which are not notified as COVID Hospitals shall not deny treatment facilities / admission to CGHS beneficiaries and shall charge as per CGHS norms, for all other treatments. Action shall be taken in case of violation of the guidelines.

Railways Freight shows forward movement again as lockdown is getting lifted
Indian Railways continues in its endeavour to ensure availability of essential commodities through its freight and parcel services during the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 and after that. In order to ensure the timely delivery of essential commodities for citizens and goods vital for energy & infrastructure sector, Indian Railways has maintained its freight corridors fully functional and has been successful in meeting the needs of both the households sector and industry. In the month of May, Indian Railways has transported 82.27 million tonnes of essential commodities compared to 65.14 million tonnesin April 2020, which is more than 25% higher. From 1st April 2020 to 9th June 2020, Indian Railways has transported 175.46 million tonnes of essential commodities through its uninterrupted 24X7 freight trains operations across the country.

Prime Minister conducts review of Kedarnath Reconstruction project
Prime Minister today conducted a review of the KedarnathDham development and reconstruction project with the Uttarakhand state government via video conferencing.Laying out his vision for the reconstruction of the shrine, Prime Minister said that the state Government should envision and design development projects for holy sites like Kedarnath and Badrinath in a way and manner that stands the test of time and is yet eco-friendly and in harmony with nature and its surroundings.Keeping in mind the present situation and comparatively lean pressure in terms of tourists and pilgrims to the holy sites, Prime Minister suggested that the present construction season could be utilized for completing pending works by proper distribution of labour pools, keeping in mind the norms of social distancing. This will help to create facilities and infrastructure to better sustain tourism flows in the years to come.

Telephone conversation between Prime Minister and President of Philippines
Prime Minister Shri NarendraModi spoke on telephone with President of Philippines, His Excellency Rodrigo Duterte, and discussed the steps being taken by the two Governments to address the challenges arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Both leaders expressed appreciation for the cooperation extended to ensure the welfare of their citizens in each other's territory, as also for their repatriation home, during the ongoing health crisis. The Philippines President also appreciated the steps taken by India to maintain supply of essential pharmaceutical products to the Philippines.

Chandigarh: The Administrator, UT, Chandigarh thanked the doctors, health workers, municipal, police and administrative officials for working hard in fighting corona, resulting in reduction of active cases. He, however, stressed that the district authorities should keep a watch on persons coming from other states, so that infection is detected at the earliest and can be contained. The Administrator directed Principal Secretary Health to keep all hospitals and health centres in readiness for accommodating patients, in case there is a second surge, as the borders are open.
Haryana: Haryana Government has deputed senior officers to visit the districts for a minimum of two days and two consecutive nights to supervise and review the current arrangements and to plan out the future arrangements required to be put in place based on the analysis of the rate of spread of COVID-19 in the State. The concerned officers will ensure that all officials of Police, ULB, Health and Medical Education and Research Departments in the district are galvanized into action and are motivated to carry on the fight against COVID-19.
Maharashtra: With addition of 2,259 new cases, Maharashtra’s COVID-19 tally has surged to 90,787. According to the state health department, the state has reported 120 deaths with the toll now standing at 3289. The number of patients who have recovered stands at 42,638 with 1663 discharges in the last 24 hours. Mumbai, on the other hand, recorded 1,015 new cases with the total rising to 50,878. The city recorded 58 deaths more leading to a toll of 1,758.The number of reported cases in Mumbai has now crossed that of Wuhan in China, where the Corona Virus outbreak began. Silver lining is that the doubling rate in Mumbai has increased to 23 days and in Asia’s largest slum, the doubling rate has increased to 48 days. Moreover, no deaths have been reported from Dharavi during the last seven days.
Gujarat: 470 new COVID-19 cases have been reported, taking the state tally of coronavirus positive cases to 21044, out of which 5336 are active cases. Hotspot Ahmedabad has reported 331 of these new cases. The death toll in the state rose to 1, 313, with 33 COVID-19 patients dying on Tuesday. On the other hand, 409 patients were discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recovered patients to 14,373. Also, in Ahmedabad, renowned critical care specialist Dr Raj Rawal has formed a group of expert doctors and started Covid home care service for patients with mild symptoms. Under the home care service, the patients are provided with assistant nurse, oxygen, and monitoring in cases if it is required.
Rajasthan: 123 new COVID-19 cases have been reported till today morning, while 369 new cases in all were reported on Tuesday, taking the state tally of coronavirus positive cases to 11,368. Till date, 8502 patients have recovered in the state which has the highest recovery rate in the country. The Rajasthan Government has sealed all its inter-state borders today in the wake of continuous increase in Corona cases. In addition, the government has decided to regulate and control intra-state traffic.
Madhya Pradesh: 211 new COVID-19 cases have been reported, taking the state tally of coronavirus positive cases to 9849. While the number of active cases is 2700, a total of 6,729 people have recovered from the infection and 420 patients have died so far. The growth rate of Corona infection in MP is now much lower at 2.74 per cent, as against the national average of 5.4 per cent.
Chhattisgarh: 43 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in all on Tuesday, taking the state tally of coronavirus positive cases to 1251, while the number of active cases is 859.
Goa: 29 new COVID-19 cases have been reported on Tuesday, taking the state tally of coronavirus positive cases to 359, out of which 292 are active cases and 67 patients have recovered in the state so far. Mangor area in the state continues to have the maximum cases, with 22 of these new cases being linked to that area.
Arunachal Pradesh: State Health Secretary says more than 11,500 stranded people have returned to the state so far. He said more stranded people are reaching the state and SoPs are being followed for their checkups and quarantine.
Assam: 42 new COVID19 positive cases in Assam. Total cases 3092, active cases 1987, recovered 1097 and deaths 5.
Manipur: Five more persons tested COVID19 positive taking the overall total to 309, all returnees.19,854 tests have been done so far in the State.
Mizoram: In partial modification of Lockdown Guidelines issued, Lengpui Airport in Mizoram will continue to remain operational until further orders.
Nagaland: Nagaland Civil Society Orgaizations have planned a 'prayer from homes' at 7 pm today. People have been urged to light candles or flash mobile phone lights and pray for safety of all including frontline workers. 4732 samples tested so far in Nagaland. Results of 3518 have been received and 5922 persons are currently under quarantine.
Kerala: A Covid-19 patient who escaped from the Trivandrum Medical College the other day, committed suicide inside isolation ward today after he was taken back to the hospital. His second test had shown negative. 40 of his friends and close family members have been put in quarantine. The state Cabinet has decided to strengthen containment measures to avoid community spread of Covid-19. The Chief priest of Sabarimala hill shrine has written to Devaswom Board not to allow devotees in the temple during the monthly Pooja to begin from next Monday and has also asked for postponing the festival. Four Keralites succumbed to the virus in the Gulf region. A total of 207 Malayalis have succumbed to the virus in the Gulf. Two died in Mumbai and one in Delhi. 91 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerala in the second consecutive day yesterday. Number of People in quarantine in the state has crossed 2 lakh.
Tamil Nadu: State govt acknowledges that it might be underreporting Covid-19 deaths; a nine-member committee to audit all the Covid-19 deaths in Chennai. Retired teacher found positive for Covid-19 after dying in Puducherry, cases in the UT rise to 145. Following TN, the Puducherry administration on Tuesday cancelled the Standard X public examination in the Puducherry and Karaikal regions. DMK MLA J Anbazhagan succumbs to Covid-19 at a private hospital in Chennai. 1685 new cases, 798 recoveries & 21 deaths reported yesterday. 1242 cases from Chennai. Total cases: 34914, Active cases: 16279, Deaths: 307. Active cases in Chennai are 12570.
Karnataka: Health department announced that, state is continuing to do Covid test among deaths with history of ILI or SARI symptoms- swab to be taken within 6 hours of death for testing. Medical Education Minister Dr Sudhakar K said that the State crossed 4 lakh tests mark on Tuesday. With 2605 discharges & 5921 cumulative cases, Karnataka's recovery rate remains at 44%. Health Minister B Sriramulu said that Maharashtra returnees will not be subjected to institutional quarantine henceforth and will be directly sent to 14 days of home quarantine. 161 new cases, 164 discharges & two deaths reported yesterday. Total positive cases: 5921, Active cases: 3248, Deaths: 66.
Andhra Pradesh: Supreme Court denies staying AP High Court's verdict in State EC N Ramesh Kumar’s reinstatement case, over AP government’s petition. Tenth Std examinations will be held according to previously announced schedule in Andhra, says Minister Adimulapu Suresh. CM launches ‘JaganannaChedhodu’ scheme to provide an annual cash incentive of Rs 10,000 each to 2,47,040 beneficiaries who are washermen, barbers and tailors in the state. TTD all set to resume darshan at Tirumala for devotees from Thursday. 136 new cases, 72 discharged and one death reported during last 24 hours after testing 15,384 samples. Total cases: 4126. Active: 1573, Recovered: 2475, Deaths: 78.
Telangana: Protests erupt across Telangana as doctors stand in solidarity with those protesting at Gandhi Hospital after the attack on a doctor yesterday. Telangana government issues orders declaring promotion of all 10th students based on performance in internal assessments. Close to 7 lakh students have been promoted following the orders. As on date 448 migrants, foreign returnees tested positive.

पटना, जेएनएन। होली में दूसरे शहरों में रहने वाले बिहार के लोग घर जरूर आते हैं। ऐसे में लंबी दूरी की शहरों से आने वाली ट्रेनें हाउसफुल हैं। हालांकि काफी संख्या में लोगों ने चार माह पहले ही टिकट बुक करा लिया था, परंतु अब भी ऐसे हजारों की संख्या में लोग होली में घर आने को परेशान हैं। हर साल दूसरे शहरों से बिहार आनेवाली यात्रियों की काफी भीड़ होती है। होली के साथ ही अन्य त्योहारों में भी बिहार आने वाली ट्रेनों में बमुश्किल टिकट मिल पाता है। घर आने के लिए लोग तीन-चार महीने ही अपना टिकट आरक्षित करवा लेते हैं।
होली के साथ ही दशहरा और दीवाली में भी बिहार आनेवाली ट्रेनों का यही हाल रहता है। खासकर छठ

पर्व में तो घर आना काफी मुश्किल लगता है। हालांकि हर साल छठ और होली को लेकर रेलवे बिहार के लिए स्पेशल ट्रेनें भी चलाती है, लेकिन फिर भी ट्रेनें हाउसफुल रहती हैं। 
इसी तरह इस साल भी एक मार्च के बाद से ही किसी भी लंबी दूरी की ट्रेन में कोई जगह नहीं है। नई दिल्ली, मुंबई, पुणे, बेंगलुरु, सिकंदराबाद, चेन्नई, विशाखापत्तनम, भोपाल, जयपुर, सूरत, अहमदाबाद, कोटा आदि शहरों से आने वाली तमाम ट्रेनें हाउसफुल हो चुकी हैं।

पटना -बीकानेर ट्रेन चलनी चाहिए होली स्पेशल via churu ,Sikar ,Jaipur
कोहरे का प्रकोप ऐसा कि ट्रेनें प्रारंभिक स्टेशनों से ही विलंब से रवाना हो रहीं हैं। अभी तक राजधानी एक्सप्रेस व संगम एक्सप्रेस समेत कुछ ट्रेनें प्रारंभिक स्टेशन से लेट हो रही थीं। अब इस लिस्ट में वंदेभारत एक्सप्रेस भी शामिल हो गई है।
22436/35 नई दिल्ली-वाराणसी-नई दिल्ली वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस शनिवार को क्रमश: नई दिल्ली और वाराणसी से विलंब से चली। यह ट्रेन रविवार को भी नई दिल्ली और वाराणसी से लेट रवाना हुई। वंदेभारत एक्सप्रेस रविवार सुबह नई दिल्ली से 20 मिनट तथा वाराणसी से लगभग 35 मिनट देर से चली। दोनों तरफ की ट्रेनें इलाहाबाद जंक्शन पर 30-30 मिनट विलंब से पहुंची।

पर्स छीनकर भाग निकले। जीआरपी ने शनिवार शाम वह सिक्का बरामद कर लिया, जिसे इस्तेमाल कर सिग्नल डाउन किए गए थे। इलाहाबाद के एसपी रेलवे मनोज कुमार झा के मुताबिक, यह चोरी की वारदात है। फतेहपुर के जीआरपी थाने में रिपोर्ट लिखी गई है।
प्रयागराज-कानपुर इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस को शुक्रवार रात करीब 12 बजे चेन खींचकर कुरस्तीकला और मलवां रेलवे स्टेशन के बीच ब्लॉक हट एलएल पर रोक लिया गया। इंटरसिटी की फ्लैशर लाइट को देखकर डाउन ट्रैक पर आ रही गरीब रथ एक्सप्रेस के ड्राइवर ने भी ट्रेन रोक दी। इस बीच बदमाशों ने अप ट्रैक पर सिग्नल लाल किया और इलाहाबाद से आ रही पटना-नई दिल्ली राजधानी एक्सप्रेस और पटना से नई दिल्ली जा रही संपूर्ण क्रांति एक्सप्रेस को रोक कर लूटपाट की।
पटना राजधानी एक्सप्रेस के ए-5 कोच में सवार महिला यात्री पूजा ने बताया कि एक अज्ञात व्यक्ति ने हाथापाई करके उनका पर्स छीना और भाग गया। पर्स में मोबाइल और जेवर थे। इसके बाद बदमाश संपूर्ण क्रांति एक्सप्रेस में घुसे और दो यात्रियों से लूटपाट की। मालवीय नगर दिल्ली की मनीषा ने बताया कि मलवा स्टेशन पर उनका पर्स छीनकर अज्ञात लोग भाग गए। पर्स में दो हजार रुपये, एटीएम व जेवर थे। बी-3 में माधुरी झा ने भी पर्स छीनने की शिकायत की। गरीब रथ में भी लूटपाट की चर्चा है। करीब एक घंटे बाद ट्रेनों को रवाना किया जा सका।

लाइव सिटीज, सेंट्रल डेस्क : बड़ी ख़बर मिल रही है दीनदयाल उपाध्याय स्टेशन से जहां गरीब रथ एक्सप्रेस बेपटरी हो गई है। हालांकि हादसे में किसी तरह के नुकसान की कोई ख़बर नहीं है। बताया जा रहा है कि गरीब रथ एक्सप्रेस आनंद विहर से जयनगर जा रही थी l इसी क्रम में ट्रेन दीनदयाल उपाध्याय स्टेशन पर रुकी l
दीनदयाल उपाध्याय स्टेशन से जैसे ही गरीब रथ एक्सप्रेस आगे बढ़ी वैसे ही इंजन बेपटरी हो गई। हालांकि इस दुर्घटना में किसी तरह की अप्रिय घटना की ख़बर अभी तक नहीं आई है।

ट्रेन की इंजन के बेपटरी होने के बाद यात्रियों में अफरा-तफरी का माहौल हो गया। कई अधिकारी घटनास्थल पर पहुंच चुके हैं. दुर्घटना के कारणों का पता लगाया जा रहा है. हादसे के बाद ट्रेनों का परिचालन बाधित हो गया है।
