Western Railways and Railways Board taken a shocking decision to cancel 9 trains of Western Railways permanently. It means these 9 trains will never run again on tracks. Out of 9 trains, 4 trains are long distance Express and rest 5 trains are passenger trains. After cancelling 17 trains of Eastern Railways, now Indian railways cancelling 9 pairs of Western railways, trains. Western Railways Zone covers maximum parts of Gujrat, hence maximum of these trains are starting from Gujrat or passes though Gujrat. Railway Board approves this proposal of cancelling these trains which was sent by Western Railways. From the upcoming New Time Table, these trains will stop running permanently. It is believed that this decision is made to create 3 hour corridor block margin on Mumbai-New Delhi route for Zero Based Time Table. New Time Table expected to be released on 15th August or October.

Abhi toh DFC nahi Bana hai na?
list me how many trains have been re-introduced once they have been canceled for more than an year?
The block is a 'corridor block' - which means no trains (passenger or freight) will run in that period. All routes have a corridor block everyday for monitoring and maintenance.
With increase in traffic, most major routes are not getting sufficient time for maintenance. A few years, there was a flurry of accidents in SR, as track maintenance was not done properly due to lack of sufficient corridor block period.
