Ballari will be better than Hubballi extn, my stand is also same, we already have one Ubl-Ltt via Bgm. But entire TT will change if extended. There are discussion to utilize rakes of 17321/2 to make Ubl-Bsb bi-weekly, that weekly train is on demand.
Yes Ballari will be better but CR has to increase Rakes. Running small 12 coach train not enough for Ballari Hospet Koppal places. Chances are more to get extend to Hubli as they not starting Solapur Hubli intercity exp yet. Even they start intercity then too to increase rake Length they change zone to SWR. And they may run it as Hubli Mumbai CSMT Exp which will loose its present Mini Siddeshwar SF category between Solapur Mumbai and public of Solapur may demand not to change present timings of This train. Have to wait and see what they going to do with this train..
Kolhapur-Miraj slowdown maybe due to track doubling / electrification works. Its better to have scheduled slowdown rather than megablocks.

It would be fantastic if 22156 Miraj - Solapur is extended till Kolhapur, and gets a CC. It will increase connectivity with Hyderabad.
Kolhapur - Solapur SF also gives good connectivity to Hyd/Sc. People can catch Shatabdi exp in the morning from Solapur to Secunderabad.
Mega Block between Pune – Lonavala on Sunday 11.03.2018
1-Is Mega block happening in Day Time on Holidays / off days ?
2-How will "Break journey Freaks" be feeling, when their train gets delayed and connecting train catching time is absolutely difficult if not impossible.
3-What is the precaution we can take to avoid falling victim to Mega Block
1) 06.00 hrs to 16.10 hrs only on 11.03.2018(Sunday) means 06:00 AM to 04:10 PM (total 10 hr.).
2) and 3) the best way to avoid the impact of this mega block is to take cab or bus and travel, you will reach your destination 3-4 hr., bcz IR already announced "Passengers are requested to kindly bear with the administration for the inconvenience caused"
apart from this railways cant do anything.

Any idea from where to where they are planning to upgrade signaling systems? I think, Lonavala to Kamshet is already upgraded.
