Railways have cancelled 14 passenger trains on August 27 to take up track restoration works. The cancelled trains include 56043 Guruvayur-Thrissur, 56044 Thrissur-Guruvayur, 56333 Punalur-Kollam, 56334 Kollam-Punalur, 56335 Shencottah-Kollam, 56336 Kollam-Shencottah, 56365 Guruvayur-Punalur, 56366 Punalur-Guruvayur, 56373 Guruvayur-Thrissur, 56374 Thrissur-Guruvayur, 56377 Alappuzha-Kayamkulam, 56378 Kayamkulam-Alappuzha, 56387 Ernakulam-Kayamkulam Passenger via Kottayam and 56388 Kayamkulam-Ernakulam Passenger via Kottayam.
Stoppages for four trains
The Railways have granted experimental stoppages for four trains for a period of six months with effect from January 17. As per this, Train 16603 Mangaluru- Thiruvananthapuram Maveli Express (one direction only) has been given stoppage at Feroke station (10.08 p.m.), Train 56378 Kayamkulam- Alappuzha passenger at Punnapra Halt Station (10.56 p.m.), Train 66309 Ernakulam- Kollam MEMU at Punnapra Halt Station (9.08 p.m.) and Train 66310 Kollam- Ernakulam MEMU at Punnapra Halt Station (10.11 p.m.). — Special Correspondent
