Trivandrum: The following express trains will be permanently augmented as detailed below.
1. Train No.12643 / 12644 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin – Thiruvananthapuram Central weekly express trains will be permanently augmented by one AC 3-tier coach. This permanent augmentation will be with effect from 29.10.2019 for the train leaving Thiruvananthapuram Central and from 01.11.2019 for the train leaving Hazrat Nizamuddin.
2. Train No.22641 / 22642 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Shalimar – Thiruvananthapuram Central bi-weekly express trains will be permanently augmented by one AC 3-tier coach. This permanent augmentation will be with effect from

I agree. Even my point is same that each time RM changes a huge difference is brought in coach patterns by way of different names. Instead railways can categorise only 4 to 5 varieties. For speed up train priorities can be localized. There are still many normal superfast trains which run with good priorities in many routes. Speeding up of train depends on LHB and track maintenance majorly in my view.
Now there is technically not much difference between Tejas and Shatabdi. So Tejas gives a branding to introduced party.

SALEM: Railway police SP Balakrishnan handed over an appreciation certificate in Chennai on Thursday to J R Natarajan, travelling ticket examiner (TTE) of Salem railway division, for helping to nab a mobile phone thief in a running train. Natarajan helped to nab the thief while manning train number 22642 Shalimar-Nagercoil Express on March 14. When the train reached Katpadi railway junction, Natarajan found one person roaming inside the coach suspiciously. Immediately, Natarajan stopped him and inquired. “Natarajan found the person possessing seven costly mobiles phones stolen from the passengers of the train,” divisional railway manager of Salem railway division U Subba Rao said. Natarajan immediately called the railway police who arrested the accused and seized the mobile phones.
