Poor amenities on running trains continue to put the passengers to inconvenience if the series of complaints lodged by them are any indication. “There is no water in the toilet and the wash basin near the entrance door of coach,” rued Y. Srihari Rao, treasurer of Duvvada Railway Users Association, who travelled in B-8 coach of Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Duronto Express on August 14.
After registration of the complaint on Twitter, the railways expressed regret and noted that the complaint was attended at Vijayawada Railway Station. But, Mr. Rao replied water was filled at Vijayawada and wash basin tap was changed, but water was not flowing through the taps in the toilet and wash basin.
The coaches of SC - VSKP -SC DURONTO EXP are aged between 25 to 30 years.They are of SBC NDLS SBC RAJDHANI EXPRESS.When new rakes were allocated to the SBC RAJDHANI ,One old rake was given to SCR to renovate and run as DURONTO EXP.Most of the coaches are 93/94 make.
The difference of fares between GARIB RATH EXP and DURONTO EXP justifies that it is wise to travel by GARIB RATH EXP.

Several important originating/terminating express trains as also some passing through trains, being taken on Platform No. 6 of Visakhapatnam Railway Station, are being operated from other platforms in view of repairs to the washable apron of PF-6, according to an official release.
The repairs, which started on Diwali Day, will continue for 45 days. The trains to start from new platforms are: Train No. 22848 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus- Visakhapatnam (via Rayagada), train No. 22204 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Duranto, train No.18511 Koraput-Visakhapatnam intercity express, train No.18512 Visakhapatnam-Koraput intercity express and the train No. 58538 Visakhapatnam-Koraput passenger train will arrive on platform No.3 instead of platform Mo.6.
There is no washable apron on P.F.6 as of now to carry out repair,45 days block is to lay a new apron.
