TTEs are not seen on days except Fridays and Sundays. Hence, RAC quota allotment is difficult. Most of the passengers in this train disembark at Ernakulam.
Advice to passengers: Passengers with legitimate ticket may not be able to get into the train at KJM due to the heavy rush at KJM. Most of the people who embark from KJM are office goers who get down at BWT. Hence passengers with reserved tickets are advised to board from either SBC or BNC.

I had recently travelled between ERS and SBC..........not a single ticket checker turned up to check the tickets. The return journey was by YPR-KCVL Garib Rath express and even in that train, not a single TTE had come to check the tickets. There is no one to check these passengers .

I got the opportunity to chat with two squad members of TTEs (those not wearing the usual blazer of TTE but with ID card and badge) while travelling from KCVL to SBC in 16316. The chat was informative. They said that they were just present in the train to collect extra fares. They added that they were the only personnel deployed in the train. I also asked the reason for the same. They pointed out that there is acute shortage of TTEs by around 500 in Trivandrum Division alone. There are many issues concerning Indian Railways. It should be ensured that there are enough TTEs to verify whether the passengers are travelling with a valid ticket. Otherwise, it is a blow below the belt concerning revenue of IR. These factors, though petty it may seem, play an important role in the larger and continual development of IR.

Yes, you are correct. IR has not recruited TTE's after 2007 according to my friend who is TTE in Mayiladuthurai Jn. Earlier 2 SL coaches have been allotted to one TTE, now this has been increased to 3 coaches, it is really difficult to handle 3 coaches by a TTE, moreover all the flying squads are being removed slowly and they are being deputed to Trains as there are huge shortages in running trains. He said that 2013 & 2014 there are many TTE are getting retirements and shortage will increase more. If IR is not ready to appoint required no of TEE's. there will be huge revenue loss to IR, even though they are increasing the fare...

From my experience, I found the sleeper class in this train very comfortable. I found myself sitting next to a large and fun family. It was fun meeting them. And I did not find the train overcrowded. (December 2022).

Just travelled in this train yesterday from KSR Bengaluru to Erode. After conversion to LHB rake this train tears up the tracks to reach its next stations before time. Food availability is really awesome in this train. It took just 1hr from Tirupattur to Salem. Then it took 45min from Salem to Cauvery where our train entered the main line of Cauvery at around 10pm. In the right side to us was standing the Mettur Dam-Erode Passenger. We expected that our train will overtake that small passenger train(Mettur Dam-Erode Passenger{ENG(GOC-WDP4D)-UR-UR-SLR-UR-UR}. To a great shock the passenger train overtook us at Cauvery and we were waited to stand at Cauvery for about half an hour. It was almost 10:30pm then we had Xing with 12625(Thiruvananthapuram Central-New Delhi)Kerala Superfast Express. Our train departed after crossing with 12625. We reached Erode by 10:40pm. To catch unreserved seats at KSR Bengaluru station in 16315 please be...

but they should not break the law and enter reserved coaches and cause nuisance to other passengers all BWT people are rowdies, hooligans and goondas who threaten the passengers if u dont give them a seat .Need RPF on regular patrol.and my best suggestion to the reserved passengers would be to close the doors and shutters of your coach as soon as the train departs BNC and do not allow those BWT & KPN pax to board the reserved coaches.

Yeah, it all depends on authorities. If they get nod it is not at all a matter to not allow people without reservation into reserved coaches of sleeper. But do they care. I myself have heard and experienced many issues regarding this train. So think about overall passengers.
The DMU 76505 after this train & 16520 does not seems to attract those boarding Kochuveli train since there is gap of 30 to 50 minutes.
But some intervention is needed as the overnight journey on Kochuveli gets spoiled due to initial chaos at stations

U r right the water in taps are over, the toilets are smelly and disgusting, the coaches are dirty and since it is a 16 hr journey it is actually very difficult to travel in such conditions. SR&SWR should cancel the halts at KJM,BWT&KPN
