Food to Udaipur me UDZ ke just saamne Natraj Dining ka sbse best hai...aur localities me sbse famous bhi...next time vaha try Karna...
AC3 me to safai rehti hai...SHM exp. ke SL humesha bekaar nhi hote...aapka hi bekar hua hoga.
Waise Udaipur mei toh khaane ka issue nehi tha, kyuki dinner load kia gaya tha station se hi. Lekin haa, iss jagah ko zarur try karna padega next baar.
Boss, atleast paani toh bhar lete. Woh bhi nehi bhaara. Jhaaru nehi lagate yeh log. Subah subah log uthke Pipraigaon pe utaar ke brush kar rahe the, almost 70% people. Aisa haal tha. Koi paani nehi.
Haa, agar 50% se kam occupancy rehti toh koi issue nehi hoti. Par full occupancy ke liye kam resources thi. Aur AC3 ke toilet ka bhi kuch khaas accha condition nehi tha, kyuki mere kuch classmates wahi toilet use kar rahe the. Waha bhi paani khatam ho gaya tha Bina Malkhedi ke just pehle.
Mere Saath bhi Ananya mein hua tha...jb Kolkata se wapas aa raha tha...I was in ac3.KOAA pe jb train khadi thi, coach me bahut garmi thi, humein laga ki train shuru hone ke baad AC on ho jayga, pr andar itna suffocation home laga, upar se attendant ne blankets laake rakhne start kr diye, usko pucha to vo Bola ki AC to on hai, pr thanda nhi ho raha tha...for TC vagerah aaye unko bola, Bardhhaman tk to halat kharaab hone lag gayi, TC bola ki AC ki Team Bardhhaman pe check karegi. I was like "Ek Rajasthan ke insaan ko garmi me rehne ki aadat hai pr it was too suffocating that I can't even handle" fir thodi der baad dusra Banda aaya aur us attendant ko daanta usne..ye words bola "B* AC on krne ke liye bulaya hi nahi muje..he was the one who operates AC in each coach"...

Ye train me bheed to rehti hai har waqt..atleast ac to bhara rehta hai humesha..wrna NWR is train ko band kar deta ya LHB chheen leta...shayad aapse pehle jb train UDZ aayi hogi tb late ho gyi hogi aur safai ka time nhi Mila hoga..
The only reason mei yeh sab problems ko bhul gaya tha kyuki itne freights dekhne ko miley purey raste mei. Nehi toh akele akele toh jaan nikal jaati paani aur khaane ke bina.
Pata nehi, par ek daily pax mila tha NKJ se, unhone hi bola ki Diwali ka time tha isliye SL mei itna rush tha, nehi toh khaali hi rehta hai baaki time. Aur woh aadmi kahi baar 19660 le chuka hai NKJ se SHM ke liye, kyuki Shaktipunj se jaldi pahuchta hai.
Cleanliness sahi hi tha UDZ mei. Par jaise jaise journey aage badha, kharab hotey gaya. Iska karan hi tha ki koi OBHS nehi tha.
oh, degraded a lot!!! I travelled in June 2017 (in opp direction from KGP-KOTA), that time its maintainance & cleanliness was good. Ya, Food is a problem in this route. None of the trains have pantry car and food is not available at most of the stations. E catering helps to an extent. While boarding, atleast 2-3 bottles of water is must in this route, especially in AC coaches, as they are behind and no vendor comes there. In my HWH BPL journey, I was able to buy water only at Katni murwara, where I bought 2 bottles.
1. Talking about maintenance, the lock of one of the toilets was misaligned.
2. The door lock of the left rear door was jammed.

And all of this in a 2-year old LHB Coach, alarming really.

Haha, ICF coaches were much much better. My journey was very pleasant in SL class, even in peak summer.
Journey in Ranikhet was way way better, that too 99-made coach which looked nothing less than a 10-made coach.
Udaipur ka khaana kaisa laga? Not of rail, the one which you had in city..
Waise toh humare paas already cooks the, par jisdin Shilpgram gaye theh, toh waha pe Rajasthani Thali liye the. Maast khaana tha.
Paani tha par bahut hi kam. Raat mei toh koi dikkat nehi aayi, par subah hote hi garbar hona shuru ho gaya tha.
Udz waale bhi aajkal nalayak hue jaa rahe hai...i remember 10-15 din pehle 12992 raat ko late aayi thi....un logo ne usko subah wash kiya aur 12991 6 ki jagah 7 baje nikli thi...people were really angry..but raat ko 12992 vapas time se pehle udz aa gayi...aur special trains ki UDZ waale bilkul maintainence pe dhyaan nhi dete😑
Udz ki kuch hi trains hai jisme LHb hai...vo bhi saari weekly trains hai...maintainence bilkul nhi krte...unlogo ko ghanta farq nhi pdta ki koi washroom use krte waqt koi gate pakad khada rhe to😂😂
Shilpgram to 21 se 30 dec. Ke liye best hai...vaha shilpgram utsav hota hai...Many traditional artists, shops, shows etc..around 400 se jyada cheeze hoti hai dekhne-karne ki..21-30 dec. Ke alawa shayd hi koi usko dekhne jaata hoga...sb log FS hi jaate hai...aur FS pe har waqt localites and tourists hote hai...
Bsp-bina section one of the very good section of IR, a freight heaven, natural sceneries heaven and that for rail fans with clear cut mps action;.and then an economical backbone of IR..
But if you are a station food lover or the one without pantry/home food , you go in for a toss.
Nothing much to mention here in this department. Except puri bhaji, samosa, aaloo bonda, tasteless aaloo curry -rice combo you won't get much and that too in limited quantity.
