If you miss this train @ YPR. Do not worry, try below steps
1. Board SBC - UBL Janshatabdi and catch this train at Hubballi
2. If you miss Janshatabdi also, then board 11022 applicable only for Fridays and catch this train from Pune/Lonavla/Kalyan wherever you wake up.

Will the TTE wait for the passenger till Hubli(464km and 10 hours)? I don't think so.Only applicable if you are an unreserved passenger.
Your bad luck. File for TDR or cancel the ticket(PRS). You should have known while you book that the train leaves at 5am. Honestly useless tip for passengers with reserved tickets.
SWR's second chance for missing passengers. My point of suggestion was that this train can leave YPR easily by 7:30 instead of 5 and still able cover this distance, reaching UBL by 15:30 and cont.. its journey further.
TTE will not wait for such a long distance. He will 100% allot your seat to RAC passengers.
Not knowingly missing the train, it happens sometime because of some natural calamities like heavy rain, storms or not available of auto-rickshaw / cab, etc.
calm down sir. Its useful for unreserved passenger. If its not useful to you, does not mean its useless tip.

This train can be good for Railfanning as you would able to see some Xings of trains during morning session also will able to enjoy the amazing Khandala Ghat (Bhor Ghat) section any many more things as well. And I would Suggest you that you can take this train from Pune to Ahmedabad as well though not travelled fully but by looking at the TT i think that It would be as like of Shatabdi Express distance here.
1) The coaches are LHB and new. Side Berths in 2AC did not have charging points.
2) People in general do not know to use the Bio-toilets properly yet, so that gets chocked very fast.
3) Punctuality is pathetic till Bijapur/Solapur as train usually starts really late from Yeshvantpur.
4) Food - No Pantry. Local vendors sell mostly water, cool drinks, chips and biscuits....
