Is it feasible to start pitlines somewhere in ratnagiri, swantwadi road, thivim surathkal, udupi, angola or karwar so that KR can manage some rakes and gives connectivity to inter KA inter MH TN MH kind of connections? I dono abt those areas. can u throw some analysis on these ?

I agree KR is neglected and Karwar division is highly neglected. but What are the possibility to improve that should be discussed. I know udupi surathkal kumta angola and karwar are good towns, Gokarna, Murdeshway, byndoor has tourism potential. Udupi Krishnar temple is very famous. So is it possible to develop any of these with some pit lines and improve connectivity.

it is not going to happen in near future. It is like saying when POY moves into SA or MDU division then it will get pit lines. I dont see any signs that it is moving. Even SA or MDU got POY there is no gurentee pit lines will come immediately. Even after SA division formed. We yet to see significant infrastructure improvement in CBE TUP ED SA KRR. Not even single pit line added in last decade. then how merging alone will solve things.

15 coach is very much enough to run MEMU/DEMU. Ratnagiri CSMT MEMU, Ratnagiri PUNE MEMU, Ratnagiri Karwar MEMU can be tried I feel. 15 coach antodaya for nagpur or gondia atleast give connectivity from this side to that side. one pit can handle 3 slot. so RSA wise it can be managable i hope

it depends on timing and infra. if MEMU with toilets are given. 5 hrs is manageable so Ratnagiri to karwar, Ranagiri to mumbai outer may be panvel it can be done. I am not against any long ICE for ratnagiri though.

neatly maintained and No issue of "Bolo Zuban Kesari" there. (I am not taking about Bullet trains or European trains here).

Our IR is even much older than Tanzanian Railways, however still we have to improve ourselves a lot.
We people still believing in the words of politicians and many Railway officers have Politically oriented railway unions like SRMU, DREU, NRMU, etc etc. Also everywhere bringing caste and religion card everywhere even in IR. That's why development schemes on IR were delayed a lot.

Still no crowd management, non automated doors, ticketless travelling etc etc and so on in IR. Although Vande Bharat system introduced by IR is appreciable, still passengers complaining of leg space issues in Chair car coaches by some RFs. Also recently Lucknow Dehradun VB was occupied illegally by UR passengers. The crowd management is pretty worst here all due to increased population levels and demand of Shramik and Mazdoor log all over the country and also unequal share of income. Still our Per Capita Income is not upto mark although we have Adanis, Ambanis etc although Gross Domestic Product is increasing a lot.

I am seeing everywhere this "North South divide" often because there is an common stereotype is often North based passengers travel and occupy all seats and causing overcrowding. But same it is happening in South also well. All due to regional politicians whom want to secure vote bank but doing nothing to this solution.

We fining fines from Ticketless travellers, but ever IR thinked about installing Ticketing system like in Metro stations? Or able to take tickets even boarding train in case of UR trains although GPS won't allow to do so in UTS app.

We want to improve current safety measures,cleanliness and prevention of trespassing first here. Also an standard rule should be there for all. Then after improving we can think about Bullet trains, high speed trains etc.

PS: I am not an supporter of any political party, political agenda here.

The way Tanzania developed its railway is good. We should appreciate them first. Rather than disagreeing That I first agree we need to improve IR. as mentioned by other persons we cant compare scale of things here. The way railways done in a country depend on demography and geography. Even though US has 2L kms of tracks they not even run 1% of IR run in any day and We have countries which have High speed trains like Japan China France Germany. Countries like Swiss follows excellent examples for public transit. India is very diverse we should aknowledge that and we must understand our weakness and plan accordingly. If India can pave highways which competes EU and US , Railway development is also possible. We should acknowledge the time and pattern needed before we fall for blaming games.

I have different kind of opinion. As NJP has lot of passing by. This train should be routed via Thakurganj naksalbari bagdogra silguri with NJP as termination as of now. Later once sikkim line opens it can take Loco reversal in Silguri and go via sivok and terminate at gangtok so that north bengal and Sikkim people can use this train. For Guwahatti, Amrit bharat or Janata type of train should be made from Tambaram. if sufficient rakes are came then it can be made daily so that Assam people can utilize it. Kaziranga can be made daily with dedicated slot. As vivek daily in near future takes Kerala kongu load, Kaziranga takes bangalore and vellore load, A train from TBM would relieve MAS VSKP based assam crowd. the exisiting silghat town slot in that time can be used for pasighat / nahurlaun.

yes. NFR to south needs whole new discussion. Need proper train to Arunachel pradesh, Mizoram, Megalaiya, Manipur. existing agartala AC train is not suiting for every need so it should be made janata as possible. Essential connection from NFR to major train destinations like Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta should be planned wisely and slot needs to adjusted based on those needs.

I have a doubt which can be clarified by all seniors here.
Is it possible a train to start from VSKP and go to SGRL (Singrauli) via Ranchi and halt there for 3 hrs and to start again as a new train to SC via Anuppur have a SM there and then go to VSKP.
