I think the new AP state needs fast train connection between its major cities. As of now fast trains possible in coastal route. So speed train needed to connect Port cities like Visakahapatnam, Kakinada( Samrlakota), then small cities like Rajhamundry, Tadepalligudem, Eeluru, main junction Vijayawada, Ongole, nellore.

i don't understand why you people are running behind shatabdi's , take a bow of double decker not even once it has gotten seats filled completely in either direction(tpty and gnt from kcg) we just need ordinary superfast with general quota in all stations think about garib not about show off things they dont serve the actual purpose
First of all lets upgarde all our tracks to 150kmph and then demand all important trains viewing demand we dont want shatabdi to run @60,70 all the way
Btw nobody asked for a double decker its just the whims and fancies of few politicians.And I don't think its appropriate to gauge patronage based on a DD with awkward timings,which is cramped no back rest and same fare as CC.

SBC-MAS has 2 shathabdi express trains they always runs with full demand. But single trip DD struggling. How can you relate DD with shatabdi ??
If 150 kmph is criteria SC-PUNE, MAS-SBC, MAS-CBE shatandi express shouldn't be there.
There is good demand shatabdi express in coastal region, in a year or 2 it increases more.
