Yesterday there was a news on STAR NEWS regarding a software being used by touts to book tatkal tickets in huge numbers. Its name was some vallysoft or something like that. One copy of basic version is available at Rs. 9000. This software gets directly connected to IRCTC site and we can fill forms from before. One can start booking from 7:58 am and the forms are automatically filled by software. Also one does not need to enter the captcha code while booking. Star news says IRCTC officials are aware of this and also part of this and so this has been functioning without any problem. Lets see what Railways do about it.

'cheating' has been existing almost every where. In lines 'boys' of the 'agents' who are having 'link up' 'tie up' with 'PRS executives' are bolding making 'dive' means entering the line without number. This is going on since I came to see big lines before 40 years when I went first time to mumbai.
For us it is 'cheating' by touts : they are using advanced software to break the 'Queue'.

1-bank Debit cards can be used for booking of tickets (if you are lucky to get through)
2- Not sure, it should work for other bookings, because, you choose an option "tatkal'. software can be modified for that and part functions can be disabled in the computer through software - like if in filling forms, if you miss a line, you will get a notification - similarly some card types can be disabled by choosing tatkal option.

Cash Card Payment Gateways are not available during Tatkal Booking time (8 to 9 AM), hence no type of booking can be done through cash cards during this time.
IRCTC daily removes cash card for one hour from its payment gateway list. After 9AM they make them back available.

Guys...... Railways is Preparing a Brand New Portal(Government Website) using which we can Book SL ticket for 5 Rupees and 10 Rupees for AC as an Extra Charge.
YES correct, as mentioned in the budget CRIS the IT arm of IR will start the new website. But question remains how would the consumers benefit if all tatkal is WL-ed by 8:00 AM
