I am travelling by 12135 - PUNE NAGPUR EXP, from Pune. I would like to help me with 1) Is Luggage van attached to this train?, if yes, 2) What are the charges, Is it safe to carry sweets, around 100 kgs, in 15 boxes.
it is safe or not known but problem /inconveience to fellow passengers,if you are four or fine passengers ecah can distrubute the boxes which can be kept underneath your berth but beware now a days rats are to many in coaches
If u are travelling with a fellow member and two off ur are there, tell the sweet vendor to prepare a carton of the sweets and carry it easily with u itself and place it under ur berth...
if u even want to carry it in the luggage compartment, the charges will be not too high, but it is perishable and the railways are not careful while loading and deloading the stuff from the Luggage compartment...
SLR coach is available SLR means SEATING AND LUGGAGE coach.. u can go to the Luggage booking counter at the originating station with the parcel and then u can book it.. just a suggestion ask the sweet vendor to pack the stuff properly as there is excessive heat in the SLR compartments.. i will still prefer u carrying it along with u even if u are in SL coaches.. if u are in AC coach u can may be give some money round about 100-150 to the Attendent and he will adjust that Parcel in the place where they keep the bed rolls and stuff, i have done that in various WR trains like Avantika, Golden Temple Mail and even Jaipur Superfast a couple of tiimes....
