Every regular traveler between LUCKNOW to NEW-DELHI was probably waiting for this to happen. An LHB'fied LUCKNOW MAIL. It's a great moment for all of us, especially Lucknowites. Now, when it has happened, I wonder what is this pandemonium about commissioning LHB Coaches to LUCKNOW MAIL all about ? I am not so knowledgeable like all here, but still many would agree that speed is not the primary criteria for LHB'fication. I mean factors such as comfort, increased seating capacity, safety & prestige value are also legitimate. In a pure class VIP train, having 10 odd AC coaches involving 2 first class coaches, comfort and safety matters a lot. A train which is pride of not only a particular division but also ranks high in entire Northern Railways zone, must not be given a second thought to allot LHB coaches. more... trains running on routes which justify LHB allocation must have been commissioned LHB earlier to LUCKNOW MAIL. It might be correct but that doesn't ignores the need of LUCKNOW MAIL's LHB'fication. There is already an AC SUPERFAST running with LHB Coaches on the route. So, it's quite evident that primary criteria is comfort along with safety.
