If I book tickets online, sr. Citizen are allocated upper berths. Also, this happens if I book tickets through counter .
Any advise or suggestions please.

My mother is 71 years old (sr. citizen quota). My sister is 51 years old (handicapped).
When I book online, it says the berths may be allotted in "split coaches".
Could someone tell me why railways has introduced this concept where the family members will have to spend their entire journey in different coaches??
Can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue?

can I select the handicap option to select after logging in.
If I select that, will it be possible to book?
Also, it is showing full fare for handicap berth. How is that so?
