Saw in some what's app group. A empty VB rake of a similar livery (Orange) was spotted at Aluva station in TVC division. Not sure where it is headed. Some rumours suggest the possibility of a VB spl between ERS-SBC. However given the election code of conduct in place not sure if any trains can be started now ? But there is also a view that given that it is vacation season, there is also no issues in running trains as holiday spls. We will have to wait and see.

MDU division might not be willing to spare cleaning crew just for one train. Please understand one thing. We can have our own opinions and keep ranting about it in these forums. Ultimately railways have their own parameters of deploying staff, looking at utilisation etc. Had Palani had many trains originating and terminating, maybe it would have been easier to have dedicated crew from mechanical division. But as I can see it is more of a passing station. Probably that could have been the reason for MDU division not wanting it to terminate there. I never mentioned it is a SA division train. All I said that SA division wants to decongest CBE station and probably free up a stabling line.

Right point.One approach these days that railways has started and probably started just before covid sometime in 2018-2029 is asking zones increasingly to propose trains for extension which have a long turnaround time and try and use the extra time to cover newer places. It is not always a great passenger friendly move. Because of this quota has reduced, cleanliness has reduced and net effect is passenger inconvenience

This not a finalized at all. The Mechanical Dept has written to all the Mech div within SR to check feasibility of multiple proposals which they have received. This is one such proposal. So no need to rejoice and be happy so quickly. Terminating at MAS is the most preferred option for passengers so not sure if MAS division will easily let it go

This is just a document shared to explore feasibility check. There were lots of other proposals and this document probably was shared by the operating dept to all the Mech div so that they can check the possibility of maintenance and other aspects. So not finalized as such
