Admin, sir,
Ref: #839743
May I seek some clarification? In this forum, a member can post a fake photo, beg mere apology when caught, stay silent for more than a month and then start continuing blogging - is it?

(a) It appears that Chakki Bank (CHKB) has been renamed as Pathankot Cant (PTKC). The official IR site indianrail.gov.in shows the station codes ['View Codes']. However, if one goes to 'Train Berth Availablity' and type PTKC or Pathankot Cant, there is no response. Surprisingly, it responds for CHKB. As first experiment, one may try to get the schedule for 11078 Jhelum Exp - it shows calling at CHKB, not PTKC.
(b) If my memory (as heard from one uncle who was posted in Jammu) does not betray, long back, in the 1940/50s, there was a small station named Pathankot Cant at the same location where passenger trains did not call at. Only army trains used to stop. That station was gradually developed

as a major station when the track was extended till Jammu. Some trains started going towards Jammu Tawi avoiding PTK and the reversal. I recall, in 1981 when we had a trip to Kashmir and took SDAH-JAT Exp, the train went via PTK. Old Bradshaws will reveal the story - if someone has it please.
(c) We had a trip to Dalhousie in October, 2011 when we detrained/boarded trains at CHBK. It is a station heavily guarded by army personnel [International border with Pakistan is 25-30 km away]. We were told a very large ammunitions godown was nearby. In fact there is a U-turn towards PTK, and PTK is hardly 2-3 km away..

West Bengal.
The adult elephant was struck by a train in a forest at the Buxa Tiger Reserve, a few miles from Alipurduar in north east India.
A speeding passenger train, the Guwahati-bound Somporkkranti Express, hit the elephant while he was crossing the railway line. He died instantly.
Hecan species, only male Asian
elephants have tusks, m the elephant who died
here was an adult male
The tiger reserve where the
elephant was killed is inside the
Buxa National Park, which runs along
India's boundary with Bhutan.
This means that the tiger reserve
serves as international corridor for
elephants migrating between India
and Bhutan, making a it a danger
spot for train drivers.
Indian forest guards now have the
difficult task of getting the huge
animal off the tracks so that the train
line can reopen.
Sadly this fatal collision was not an
isolated incident.

Re# 686866-67
(1) I find you have used Damanpur station (DPO). I do not find the station/code on indianrail.gov.in - could you plz throw some light. I'm particularly interested because this station, which was located bit north of APDJ and presumably a defunct station now, was indeed a station in pre-partition days (Bradshaw).
(3) A mild comment connected with the said blog #686866: I think such unfortunate incidents mostly occur between Rajabhatkhawa and Kalchini/Hasimara. Damanpur was a station bit north of present day APDJ, between APDJ and Rajabhatkhawa which is not the usual "elephant corridor". The usual corridor starts almost from the Hasimara/north end of Rajabhatkhawa platform till Kalchini/Hasimara. Two years back in December, when we were spending a week long winter vacation with

family at Rajabhatkhawa Tourist Lodge which is very close to Rajabhatkhawa station, many times we heard elephants 'calling' at night - people there confirmed that and mentioned that the elephants were crossing from the western side of the track to the eastern side towards Buxa/Jayanti.

(a) Nimpura is a listed station between KGP and TATA (SER). Does any train stop there? I observe that even some local trains (MEMU) do not stop at NMP.
(b) Which are other such IR stations where no train stops?

Within 24 hours, please post here the details of the said person - name, father's name, address, phone number. Even if no other member joins me, I shall proceed to take legal action against such persons for such cyber activities on such esteemed public forums. If you are unable to give the details, it will be implied that you are responsible wholly and you are using someone else's name. Referring to your writing "Some One have asked my irregularity in forums, Sir, With All due respect, i have to tell you that as a student of 11th Standard it is difficult or me to stay online every year round, i try to be active outside exam periods only" - do you want me to expose all the irregularies in this forum and other forums too?

So, you are confirming that the person, who faked the photo by superimposing and gave you permission to use it on web site forum like this one, is not in India now - he has gone abroad last week for 2 months.
A strange coincidence indeed!
However, his departure details, passport details, etc are recorded at places - they should be available.

it would have been better if within 24 hours, we would have seen another post of yours begging apology that you are the 'real' person behind all this - the said person is not at all involved.

"thakur ghore ke?" (who's there in the room where idols are placed for worship? - asks a member of the family hearing some noise coming from there)
A: "ami to kala khaini!" (no, no, i have not consumed the bananas kept for offerring - comes the reply from a member who has been actually consuming the bananas)
So, are you also admitting your activities: "One particular member (at least so far I've detected) has 'unusual' activities in such forums (like flickr, FB, IRFCA, even linkedin!) including this one. The person has been challenged on occasions, and then has either become silent or has reappeared after some days with a different ID."
