P DAS 38 blog postsToday (06/10/2014) most of the M/E/SF trains in the ALJN-NDLS section are running late unusually. 12381 POORVA reached NDLS and was late by 4:30 hrs. In fact, it took almost 5 hrs to travel a distance of 130 km from ALJN to NDLS. 12393 SS Exp was unusually late by almost 4:30 hrs. 12397 Mahabodi running late by more than 6 hrs. Many other trains are also running delayed unusually. All these info are as per NTES data. Anybody aware of what may be the possible reasons for this long delay of so many trains in this section, may pls share in this IRI forum...

This train 12319 should be converted to a daily SF train, or at least be run five days a week. Passengers from Kolkata need a good & regular SF train to Agra via Mathura. Indeed all other trains from Kolkata reach Agra at odd hours... So this is the best train to visit Agra/ Mathura & Vrindaban dham from Kolkata without needing to touch Delhi... So the frequency of this train KOAA-AGC SF Express should be increased...

P DAS 38 blog postsToday 12381 Poorva Exp arrived at NDLS 20 minutes before scheduled time at 7:15 AM as per NTES... What a pleasant surprise !!! Indeed a very good news for all Poorva Exp fans... By January 2015 MGS-BSB-ALD section via JNH will have commercial operation of electric traction loco. Then 12381 can have WAP-7 end-to-end connectivity between HWH and NDLS... It may start good times for our mighty Poorva...

But today again 12381 was halted at ALD between 22:36 hrs and 00:06... This is strange for a SF train as prestigious as the POORVA!!! Does this ever happen with PASCHIM Exp or Jnaneswari (12102) or is it the poor fate of Poorva only, 12381 in particular, only bcz it has to withstand loco change on two occasions en-route to its destination?
Can anybody pls provide the confirmation if 11078 JAT-PUNE Jhelum Exp regularly leaves NDLS from pf no. 4 as mentioned at IRI website... I need this info as I have booked a 3A ticket from NDLS by 11078...

P DAS 38 blog postsCan anybody please share the information as regards why yesterday's (24.09.14) 12381 Poorva (via GAYA) was made to halt at Allahabad for nearly 3 hrs even after having arrived there nearly 25 mins late? Nowadays this train is getting held up at ALD for a very long time frequently, which is unbecoming of Poorva, a very prestigious and important train as we all know. Finally the train reached destination NDLS at more than 5 hrs late... Passengers of this train have every right to be informed of the likely causes so that they can make an informed decision before booking a ticket. Moreover, think about those passengers who are going to take a connecting train from NDLS for their onward journey. Normally 3 hrs buffer time should be ok at NDLS for a prestigious SF train of the likes of Poorva but late arrival by 4+ hrs, that too so frequently...
