I would like to travel from Ramanathapuram to Mumbai LTT with single ticket ,there is no direct train from Ramanathapuram to Mumbai,My schedule is
Ramanathapuram to Salem(Train No 16733/fare 235/distance 376km)
Salem to Mumbai LTT(Train No11014/fare 555/ distance 1355km)

gone to reservation counter,clerk told this is not possible with single ticket,
you have to take individual ticket or you can book a single ticket from Ramanathapuram to mumbai via Chennai.
From ramanathapuram to Chennai (distance 547km)
Chennai to Mumbai(distance 1280km)
Total distance is 1827km
He can give single ticket for 1827km,why don’t like to give 1731km distance,clarify my question and whether railway clerk don’t know this rules

May be... but he can give a try in another reservation center or with a different clerk, clearly mentioning "BPT" on top of reservation slip with the train details...

I am going to book tickets in 17604 from YPR to KCG for tomorrow's journey (10-3-17) once i reach home from office. As of now the GNWL is 25... i heard that this train has good clearance.. till what WL number i can book in GNWL rather than booking in TQ... experts pls throw some light on it... i dont want to waste 100 bucks, since ppl may suggest some good predictions.. :P
