12792 Danapur Secunderabad SF Express overtook 12214 Delhi Sarai Rohilla Yesvantpur Duronto Express at Aler station today. Duronto was stopped for around 20-25 mts for overtake and allowed to follow 12792 till Charlapally. At Charlapally, Duronto re overtook 12792. Meanwhile 20708 VSKP - SC VB also came behind duronto and overtook 12792. I was expecting VB overtaking Duronto too but it didn't happen. VB was already running before time.

Quite a steady shot if the train was going 100+ kph. Did you use a DSLR?

I never quite liked this train though. Garib Rath as a concept never appealed to me and to introduce it as the first train on a route was preposterous. It doesn't serve the actual lower class who wish for General coach or SL. It is more uncomfortable than 3A, let alone comparing with 2A. It serves a segment that is very niche. The lower end and upper end of the population segment just gets cut off...

when running a Garib Rath. It would be okay if other Mail/Express trains existed but to be the only option on the route says a lot about where the heads of our railways really is.
