They have just advanced the departure by 15 minutes. Running time has increased after CBE. No use of 130 anyway.
no use of 130 is very much evident from the TTs in that stretch only.
Correct. Train used to have this timing earlier when it used to bypass CBE - It used to leave at 19:30 PM and arrive TVC at 11:15 AM and return will leave fot on time at 14:30 PM ; Then later TVC div train slowed down bunch of trains by 30 mins and this train also got its perm route back via CBE so it changed to 19:45 and arrival at 11:45 ; Now they are just moving back to old TT when it used to be single line.

Everywhere why all trains are slow down 5 minutes to 30 minutes.
Can we talk about Kerala TVC and PGT division and how recklessly they give halts to trains and make them fast passengers? Does every train need to stop every 6-7 KMS between KTYM and KYJ?

Exynos9611~ 15593 blog postsI guess current TT has slowed down the train....This used to take much lesser time earlier and was a very popular connection train from Kerala for those who wanted to board Coromandal Express from Chennai. Lot of people especially from the defence forces used to use this train from KL towards Chennai and then board Corpmandal exp on their way to Eastern and NE parts. Now this connection no longer works as Coro departure has been preponed.
Should be rerouted via PTJ bypass again. 12601/02 would be more useful for CBE instead. 12683/84 even more so.
Kerala needs it own daily to HWH apart from Vivek. It's too much hassle to transit via MAS like in the past.

Ideally SHM-TVC (bi-weekly) & SHM-NCJ (weekly)...both use same slots I think. If made daily can be of some relief but other trains use this path so if a new train is needed a new slot would have to be formulated. Kolkata is connected to all states in the country through daily trains with probably the only exception being Kerala !!!
I doubt this train is 122 years old. Because there was no BG line beyond Shoranur towards TVC at that time.
