In a separate incident, two ticket touts were arrested by the North Eastern Railway Security Force Crime Information Branch from Vijay Khand in Gomtinagar while operating an illegal ticket business from a shop. They were found with 26 e-tickets and subsequently arrested and sent to jail.

The track work at Jaitipur station resulted in a blockage between 8:50 AM and 10:00 AM on Sunday, halting train movement on the Lucknow-Kanpur route. Four trains, namely MEMU 04296 from Kanpur to Lucknow, Yashvantpur Gorakhpur Express 12522, Pushpak 12534, and Gorakhpur Ahmedabad 19409, were held at Central Station for two to two and a half hours.
