passenger, identified as Stalin Bose from Kanyakumari, was traveling without a valid reserved ticket and allegedly punched the TTE in the nose when questioned. A case has been registered against the passenger under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. This incident comes just weeks after another passenger, reportedly intoxicated, pushed a TTE out of a moving train in the state's Thrissur district.

From March 12th to 23rd, the Puducherry-Tirupati MEMU Express (16112 & 16111) will also be fully cancelled. Furthermore, some trains will be partially cancelled, including the Arakkonam-Tirupati MEMU Express (06753 & 06754), Moore Market Complex-Tirupati MEMU Express (06727 & 06728), and the Dr. MGR Chennai Central-Tirupati Sapthagiri Express (16057 & 16058). These partially cancelled trains will either be short terminated or commence service at a different station within their respective routes.
