Express will be diverted from October 13th to 26th, taking the route via Chhapra, Aunrihar Junction, Varanasi Junction, Jaunpur Junction, Shahganj Junction, Ayodhya Cant Junction, and Barabanki Junction instead of Chhapra, Gorakhpur, and Barabanki. Train number 05060 Lalkuan Howrah Special will also be diverted on October 18th and 25th, taking the route via Gonda Junction, Basti, and Gorakhpur Junction instead of Gonda Junction, Basti, and Gorakhpur Junction. Additionally, over 40 trains on the Gorakhpur route will be canceled from October 14th to 28th.

Chhapra-Gorakhpur-Barabanki to Chhapra-Aurihar-Varanasi-Jaunpur-Shahganj-Ayodhya Cantt-Barabanki from October 13th to 26th, 2024. This diversion will skip several stations including Kopa Samhota, Daoudpur, Ekma, Chainwa, Duraunda, Siwan, Jiradei, Marwa, Bankata, Bhatni, Deoria Sadar, Chauri Chaura, Gorakhpur, Khalilabad, Basti, Babhnan, Mankapur, Gonda, and Jarwal Road. Similarly, Train 13020 Kathgodam-Howrah Express will be diverted from Barabanki-Gonda-Gorakhpur-Chhapra to Barabanki-Ayodhya Cantt-Shahganj-Jaunpur-Varanasi-Aurihar-Chhapra from October 13th to 26th, 2024. This diversion will also skip several stations including Jarwal Road, Gonda, Mankapur, Babhnan, Basti, Khalilabad, Gorakhpur, Chauri Chaura, Deoria Sadar, Bhatni, Bhatpar Rani, Bankata, Marwa, Jiradei, Siwan, Duraunda, Chainwa, Ekma, Daoudpur, and Kopa Samhota. Additionally, Train 05055 Lalkuan-Varanasi City Special will be canceled on October 14th and 21st, 2024, and Train 05056 Varanasi City-Lalkuan Special will be canceled on October 15th and 22nd, 2024. Furthermore, Train 05060 Lalkuan-Howrah Special will be diverted from Gonda-Basti-Gorakhpur to Gonda-Bardhani-Gorakhpur on October 18th and 25th, 2024. This diversion will skip Basti and Khalilabad stations. These changes are being implemented to increase line capacity, reduce train delays, enhance train speed, and introduce additional trains as per passenger demand.

The affected trains include the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Intercity, Gorakhpur-Ashbag Intercity, and several other long-distance trains.
