Passengers were provided with medical facilities, food, and water at various stations during their journey. trains, jismein New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express aur Silchar-Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express bhi shamil hain, ko ek lambe route se divert kiya. Affected stretch ko 17 June ko restore kiya gaya, lekin trains ko limited speed se cross karne ki permission di gayi, kyunki ballast ko stabilize hone ke liye time chahiye. 6 trains ko cancel bhi kiya gaya aur New Jalpaiguri-New Delhi Superfast Express ko reschedule kiya gaya. Kanchanjunga Express, jo 8 hours late thi, apne destination Sealdah par 18 June ki subah pahunchi. Passengers ko medical facility, khana aur pani, alag alag stations par, apni journey ke during, diya gaya. State ke transport department ne Sealdah station par passengers ko unke ghar pahunchane ke liye buses aur vehicles provide kiye. Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim aur Bengal ke Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ne Railways ki taraf se central government ki negligence aur accident ke baad unke koi action na lene ke liye unki criticism ki. Kanchanjunga Express Assam ke Silchar se Kolkata ke Sealdah tak chalti hai.
