Hyderabad : Railway stations are the public places where people arrive to travel a long distance. Since they are public places they require complete safety and security of passengers. But one would be shocked to learn that 87 persons died at the three stations of the twin cities, in three months.Superintendent of Police, Railway (Secunderabad), M Kantha Rao, told that 33 passengers died at Kachiguda railway station and 27 each at Secunderabad and Hyderabad railway stations during this period. All the victims met with accidents while boarding and alighting from running trains.
