No1 train janshatabadi 5:halts and rajdhani 2hlts at speed of 56/hr. 2) ranchi Ltt express 51/ hr 6hlts. 3)super 50/hr.13hlts.4)swarnajayanti sf ex49/hr 6 hlts. 5) Rajendranagar express 38/hr,15 halts. But now without stoppages no1) super express 63/hr. 2) janshatabadi 61/hr.3)ranchi rajdhani 59/hr. 4)Ltt express 58/hr.5)swarnajayanti 51/hr. It's simply means train have more stoppage run with more aggression... Is it so on all Indian train route. Or south eastern.

See the stoppage of 18621-22 and himgiri exp..himgiri is slower.
Bilkul Super gets super priority..many times arrives Patna before..I think speed in gaya patna section should be increased..Time table sabka single line section par baba tha..par an fully double electrified hai aur traffic bhi kam hai.
More benefit is that... It's a simple express..and u have to pay least fare.. And ul get a sf service,, yep at least arrival should be 2:55.but problem is that Patna have no pf for this train.. Memus are there ahead.
How does a division/station decide on the locomotive links of a train.
How is it decided so as to allocate a particular locomotive to a particular train!
And why is that some "Super slow crawlers" like howrah amristar, toofan express and kolkata chitpur get high speed locomotive Wap4, whilst relatively much faster trains like kolkata ahmedabad via cic and hwh-rnc intercity(via er and ecr run) get Wam4s!
Shouldn't a faster loco be allocated to the faster trains!

sirji you will find lots of passengers trains name that get regular WAP5/7 if you look at NR / SR / SCR zones trains list

Loco allotment is usually based on loco availability in the trip shed, and in some cases like trains with extremely aggressive schedules, allotment may be based on schedule requirements. But more often than not, it's based on loco availability.
Also, even if a train is a 'Super slow crawler', it's because the train has too many stops. Even crawlers have regular runs at MPS in between stations. It's not like they are made to run at lesser speed. they just have most stops/less priority which makes their run time longer. Both the 'fast' trains and the 'slow' trains run at 110kmph in some sections during their run.That way it's justified that they get normal passenger locos like WAP4.
Most important thing to note is that
1st point is loco availability.
2nd points is due to trains have more halts will need loco with better acceleration for crawler and passengers trains.

HWH-ASR EXP (13049/50) GETS MGS WAM-4
ER is shortage of WAP7 locos that why no loco availability. so WAP7 is not for crawler and passengers trains in ER
Even no crawlers get P-7 in ER bro. The ones which get P-7 of HWH shed are as under:
Poorva exp (via Gaya)- from HWH-MGS-HWH
BLACK DIAMOND EXP
only the above 5 trns get HWH P-7
Other trns of ER which get P-7 are:
SDAH RAJDHANI (GZB P-7)
POORVA EXP (VIA PNBE) (GZB P-7)

Aag lagana Avi bhi Purushottam sf express janti hai bhul nhi new comers ko sikhne ki jarurat hai.. Bokaro m 30 minutes late.. Gomoh me 45min late... Koderma 15min late and gaya 10 minutes before entering pf 1.im blank Now. Who was the dear loco pilot...

One of the slowest trains between Gaya- Mughalsarai. It takes more time than normal express 13307, 14223 is faster.
Can easily cover the same distance in 3 hours and TT be given similar to other Garibraths 22405, 12569 from mgs-anvt.

Thats because even with no Scheduled OT by Raj, all other GR get OT-en by Raj, making avG delay on higher side..
While this GR do hav Sch OT in between Gaya & MGS, but afterwards, its heavily slacked (as Slot)..& even then, its 1-2 hrs late ARR @ ANVT is quite equivalent if other GR arrive 4-5 hrs late @ ANVT!!
I actually meant for comparison of 22409 as garibrath that has common TT with other normal SF as 12443, 28857, 12329/79. While all are delayed (the normal SF ) this one (22409) just manages slightly better performance.
As for other garibrath is concerend 12569 is max delayed by 2 hours (Reaches anvt b/w 10-11). No discussion of 22405 delay as it suffers due to a single rake.

My first ever experience of Shipra Exp and second experience of ALD/COI-MGS stretch, here I am presenting some of pics taken en-route (after COI). The train made a run an excellent run till MZP by hitting MPS at most. After MZP, some struggle started till Chunar but after that again was in action. Train was only 1 hr delayed upto MGS which was very much acceptable in this congested stretch. It OT'ed 13132 ANVT-KOAA at Manda Road and in addition she didn't gave a chance to other trains to OT herself ;)

Here I am sharing some of the pics of my recent journey to Bhopal in Shipra Exp . . .
It was hauled by HWH WAP 4 till COI and BRC WAP 5 after Katni . . . (didnt spotted the loco from COI to KTE)
Its a superb train to travel . The coach was a bit old but was well maintained . The train arrived only 30 mins late at Bhopal .

Wow... mind blowing snaps of a train that is less covered by rail fans. It's a decent train from Calcutta to places of Sonbhadra District of UP :-D
