It seems that a Major Block is coming in the South Eastern Rly b/w Jaleswar-Amarda Rd in the Kharagpur-Balasore Section,which is an all important route.Thanks to News posted by Rang De Basanti Sir.The block will start from 5 am on Friday & willcontinue upto 3 pm on Sunday.Officially though stated,actually the block has already started a few days ago.As important trains from Bhubaneshwar Side towards Howrah(Coromandel,YPR HWH,MAS Mail,SBC/ERS/TVC-GHY) have arrived HWH in past few days,as delayed as upto 2-3 Hrs.But what is going to be this weekend,will create havoc for the passengers.As I've witnesses such block in past in The Eastern Rly,where Steel Girders were needed to be replaced @ BNXR.Train movements literally stop for the aforesaid work.Undoubtedly same thing will happen over SER also for this upcoming weekend.Whats more is they've already cancelled a few important Trains like

I appreciate RDB Sir's effort,who is continuously giving such News Updates to keep us up-t-date.Seems the block is tremendously important.GHY Ernakulam to be diverted via Jharsuguda-Sambalpur....Can we expect similar divertions for YPR HWH Exp?Please give ur valuable feedbacks,this is perhaps the biggest traffic block in the history of Indian Railways ever.

Hello respected Pradyu SIr,can u give any idea about delay of trains running during this block period?Generally Steel Girder Replcement is considered a very tough job for the SSE.Also the River Suvarnarekha is flowing to its brink.But I'm pretty sure that SER will have some very good brains to carry out this work smoothly & efficiently.Yet delay is inevitable under these circumstances.

Diverted trains willbe running via Sambalpur-Jharsuguda-Bolangir-Angul which is blistering hot 46 degrees C.No Rail Fan will be risking his life for such foollish capture & those places are very rural,I dont think any significant Rail Fan is there from that part of Orissa.

Andal Sainthia Route start hocche Sainthia station theke and seta sesh hoi Andal Station.So actualy eta directly Rampurhat station ke Asansole er sathe connect korche na.
Andal e sab train generally passenger train like Rampurhat Andal ,Sainthia Andal terminate hoi..tai south theke guwhati towards e jowa bah asa train guli first asansole hoe andal pass kore durgapur e loco reversal kore phir andal thoe sainthia line enter kore.
2>Route ta recently double hoeche tai train smoothly cholche. and upto pandeswar almost 30km from Andal electrication work sesh.

Actually railways works very smartly when these MEGA blocks imposed. They will deploy as many engineers and working man from all the zones. With a proper plan they will completed every thing. Biggest news for upcoming weekend.mega Traffic Cum Power Block.Lot of trains cancelled,short-terminated,diverted.Abnormal Delay is expected for the trains running in that portion for the said 58 Hrs.The consequences of delay may continue for even more than a week,as several important Long Distant Trains will be re-scheduled.As most of the trains will be running through diverted path & some of them will be running in Main Line,but will be controlled different station en-routee from Bhardrakh-Kharagpur,Trains are expected to delay upto 10-12 Hrs.

Strange! There is a small stn between Ambala Cantt and Kurukshetra, whose platform too is divided half in Punjab and other half in Haryana. Though I do not remember the station name, but there is a dividing pillar with Punjab inscribed on one side and Haryana on the other.

Sorry Soumitra, The station is totally in odisha, You will find one more station (Laxmannath Road) after that WB starts. The Picture is the underconstruction Panel room & rest room. The other part is the gate.
