Sampark Kranti) Express headed by 22565 Howrah shed WAP-4 cruises past the Grand Chord line and in the process approaches the Gurpa- Gujhandi Ghat Section while crossing the Chota Nagpur Hills enroute. After Paharpur comes the station Gurpa, from where the tracks stard climbing up the gradient. And in the video, the same is seen. The Ghat section comprises of numerous huge curves, small bridges and viaducts, three tunnels and an awesome scenic environment. Though the Ghat section is not steep enough for the requirement of extra locos for passenger trains, but freights move with an additional loco, which does the duty of a banker while ascending, and braker while descending. Location falls on the border of Bihar and Jharkhand. While Gurpa falls in Bihar, Gujhandi falls in Jharkhand.
