Brand new TATA WAP-4 hauling Tata Steel Superfast does over 100 km/hr at Bauria!!!

Hauled by a brand new 22936 WAP- 4 of TATA (Tatanagar) shed, the 12813 Howrah (HWH)- Tatanagar (TATA) STEEL Superfast Express thunders through the Up reverse line of (most probably) Bauria station on SER's Howrah- Kharagpur stretch enroute at over 110 km/hr, and meets our Howrah bound Midnapore- Howrah Fast EMU.
It was a memorable catch for me, as this loco was undergoing the final stages of assembling when I visited CLW (Chittaranjan Locomotive Works).

SER to cover 250 kms in 3h 50m. It is one of the very few day Express to have an A.C. First Class coach on a permanent basis.

SCR's Legend Falaknuma Superfast Express crushes Baurai Junction and accelerates past!!!

My first capture of the Legend of SCR!!! Running late by 1 hour, the 12704 Secunderabad (SC)- Howrah (HWH) FALAKNUMA Superfast Express powered by a blinding headlamp fitted 22347 SRC WAP- 4 accelerates past Bauria Junction (BVA) station on SER's Kharagpur- Howrah stretch. The train, which has the distinction of being the cleanest one of SCR, was trailing behind an EMU for quite a long distance. And after the same was put into the loop line, the Superfast got the go- ahead signal. It is the reason for which it was not quite blasting. But still it was given preference over ISPAT Superfast and Digha- Howrah DURONTO Express.

The train is named after The Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, which means - Mirror of the Sky/ Heaven. It follows the Secunderabad- Nalgonda- Guntur- Vijaywada- Rajahmundry- Samalkot- Vishakapatnam- Brahmapur- Khurdah Road- Bhubaneshwar- Balasore- Kharagpur- Santragachi- Howrah route of SCR/ ECoR/ SER, and takes 25h 45m to cover 1543 kms with 24 halts. The train gets KJM WDP- 4/ 4B in between Secunderabad and Vijaywada (as the stretch via Guntur is non- electrified). Then a LGD WAP- 4 upto Vishakapatnam. And then SRC WAP- 4.
