The train from Patna reaches Dumka but does not extend to Rampurhat. But the Mourakshi First Pressenger and Sealdah Rampurhat MEMU trains have been extended from Rampurhat to Jharkhand. Although Rampurhat is the highest revenue-generating station in this region, there is no dedicated train from Patna/Delhi to Rampurhat, except for the state capital, Kolkata.

Tarapith stands out as a prominent destination for tourism in West Bengal, drawing a substantial number of devotees not only from within the state but also from neighboring regions like Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Assam. Considering the significant influx of pilgrims, it would be advantageous to extend the 13333/ 13334 Patna-Dumka train to Rampurhat. জন্য একটি বিশিষ্ট গন্তব্য, শুধুমাত্র রাজ্যের মধ্যে থেকে নয়, বিহার, ঝাড়খণ্ড, ওড়িশা এবং আসামের মতো প্রতিবেশী অঞ্চল থেকেও যথেষ্ট সংখ্যক ভক্তের আগমন হয়। তীর্থযাত্রীদের কথা বিবেচনা করে, 13333/ 13334 পাটনা-দুমকা ট্রেন - রামপুরহাট পর্যন্ত প্রসারিত করলে সুবিধাজনক হবে। যদিও রামপুরহাট এই অঞ্চলের সর্বোচ্চ আয়-কারী স্টেশন, তবে কলকাতা ছাড়া বর্তমানে পাটনা বা দিল্লি থেকে রামপুরহাট পর্যন্ত কোনও ট্রেন পরিষেবা নেই।
