There is a Bye-pass line in MEJ outer with out touching MEJ. In future Passenger trains can operate from TN to TEN on point to point basis to compete road transport. Now fright trains operate in this bye-pass.

Here is the pic. of this bye-pass. On road, the distance between TN and TEN is 58 km and route buses plying every 10 min. By rail it is 60 km. So TN-TEN-NCJ MEMU can operate for the benefit of local commuters after electrification.
