The famous temple of Shree Kukke Subramanya is about 13 kms from this Railway station- Jeeps and autos are readily available outside the station to connect to the temple- Jeeps are generally overloaded to capacity and charge about Rs.30/- per head to reach the Temple. Autos charge Rs.200/- to cover the distance and generally decided by the complete union and hence no bargaining- the main road (Kukke-dharmastala Road) is about a km from Rly station. Buses sometimes ply to the station in connection with train timings(Not present the day I travelled)
e1 i dint find any bus during my visit
may be Taxo/Auto Agenda !!!
n they charge 80rs/head from Sbhr to dharmasthala
damnn costly n main problem is JAM PACKED TAXIES
might be- not sure of what they charge to dharmastala but this was what I found- a little higher but no other choice- even if bus was there it would have been full to be boarded with luggage

2maro i will be visiting SBHR n i wanna go to Dharmasthala !!
any spl tip regarding transportation ??
u will get jeeps and govt. Buses to dharmasthala from kukke subrahmanya, specially there is Volvo bus services bwn kukke and dharmasthala.
Take an auto from SBHR to subramanya rather than the jeep- its more comfortable- From Subramanya regular buses available to Dharmastala
If you are going only to dharmastala then take the jeep- The road is not very good condition and will take about 1.5 hrs to cover
