With the introduction of 3Side berths in coaches, the upper berth was moved up by about 1-2feet (not precisely) which made it uncomfortable to get into or out of the berth. Earlier you could at least sit up (with a little stoop) on the side upper. With the introduction of 3 side berths, the upper berth has become very uncomfortable. This is now being retrofitted, and will take time. Good wishes. See u! @anon: Sep 29 04:53PM 11, 2, 2, 2, 3, 2 rake composition Depature from Kacheguda (vekatadri Express/2797) is tooo inconvenience for most of the passengers, it was from secunderabad due to some platform repaire moved to kacheguda than still it is continuing. Because of this most of the people who are not intrested to travel by bus they are travelling by bus. I think secunderabad/Hyd Railway officials are supporting to Private transport people otherwise they would have do it back to secunderabad. SC is already over congested and operating the train from SC will effect the departure of other trains and shortage of platforms are cited as main reason. Not only Venkatadri, but all trains leading to Bangalore via Kurnool Town are being departed from Kacheguda only. I agree with you that the connectivity of Kacheguda Rly. Station is very poor from rest of the city. If proper connecting MMTS trains / City buses operated, then I dont think it will be problem to board at Kacheguda. Yesterday it took 1½ hour to reach Secunderbad station from Ameerpet in Bus route. So even reaching Secunderabad is a bit difficult in peak hours. Regards, Shiva Prasad please extend this train upto madanapalli(CTM) only this train to be secunderabad to chitoor only no extend to katpadi section. this is very serious matter so please left the idea terminate this train at cuddapah. Once Madanapalli-Dharmavaram is converted into broad gauge there is a likelyhood of extending further.But terminating at Cuddapah is a big foolish thing and waste of a rake. Terminating at Cuddapah is racist. CM wants this train to be terminated at Cuddapah,then it is not a foolish thing. Chandra Babu Niadu made this train extended upto Chittor from Tirupathi as it belongs to his constiuency. if this train is extended till katpadi it will be most convenient for patients to come to CMC hospital and for students studying in VIT. True. It will only fully fulfill the purpose of the route. VIT and CMC students/patients comprise 70% of the crowd alighting at Katpadi Junction. 50% from Hyderabad. This train is not meant for patients and students but for piligrims. Extend this train upto Kuppam(KPN) via Katpadi(KPD),Jolarpettai(JTJ) such that a train will connect from HYD A.P state capital to End point of A.P (i.e. Kuppam) towards south | 20 halts between Hyderabad Kacheguda and Tirupati MainMake sure to visit the official site and double-check the timetable.
