Train Blog<--- expand blog --->route either this train or dadar exp via renigunta jn-tpty-pakala jn-dharmavaram jn-guntakal jn and remaining same. which will give better connectivity with madanapalli, pileru, in chittoor dt ananthpuram, kadiri, dharmavaram ... ...Dileep 2 the response of entry 23337..i;d like 2 suggest certain things 1.its truly unfair tat trains plying on mumbai chennai/hyderabad/banglore/trivandrum...r neglected 2 a very far extent....these trains dont get clean coaches/superfast services..and hav 2 face lots of miseries....i kindly appeal 2 mamtaji that pune-daunad-solapur-wadi-guntakal be doubled and electrified..as it would reduce travel time of all south bound trains by overwhelming 3 hours..which wuld b the gud achievement..and would in turn complete the golden quadrilatral...the point raised by the blogger is correct..but he has got no right 2 divide the country...into two parts..sum matters need 2 b solved ....and u cannot say that south bound trains dont get facilities...its only mumbai chennai route which is neglected..otherwise chennai has many superfats trains including a rajdhani and a duronto..along with shatabdi...also banglore has sampark krantis,,,both following different route..karnataka express also following different routes,kongu superfast express..and even many more 2 connect north india.....(banglore is the only city which has trains running between same stations but with different routes...2627 following banglore-solapur-daunad-manmad-bpl-new delhi...2629 following banglore-davangere-miraj-pune-daund-manmad-bpl-new delhi...2649 following banglore-kacheguda-nagpur-bhopal-new delhi..banglore rajdhani following banglore-secunderabad-nagpur-new delhi...so many trains follwing so many routes covering so much distanc)....trivandrum has got daily kerela express...(the longest daily running superfast train in india)..covering as many stations......so y u complain....u 2 get gud rakes 4 ur trains..let india b united and independent country M<umbai chennai track is most neglected. no superfast train connects mumbai to bangalore. the track is singleline between Bhigvan -mohol (130 kms) of pune-solapur railway track and hotgi gulbarga(97 kms) . Track is not electrified. this is shortest track connecting mumbai/Pune to Chennai, tirupati(hottest tourist desination in india), shortest track between Mumbai/pune And bangalore( route via miraj is 10 kms longer), shortest track between mumbai/pune and hyderabad, vishakhapattanam, bhuwaneshwar( route via manmad is 78 kms longer) , shoertest track between mumbai/pune lature, pandharpur, usmanabad, vijapur. (pune solapur ois crucial bottleneck where 40 trains ply a day) .Since it passes throughmmany states it is neglected and also it does not travel to north. strange this budget allicated rs 100 crore for electrification of daund manmad but no money for this trunk route/for doubling/electrification . no truly superfasdt traoin chennai mail is slowest train in india on both stpage ansd speed criterion It reaches at odd hrs to mumabi 3-45 . in south direction could be extended to tiruchirapalii tanjavar, Velankani, Madurai, rameshwaram Why nagarcoil exp plies for 3 days via longer tirupati route? if it is plied very day via dharmavarm it has [otential to connect madurai to mumbai in 30 hours and could be overnight( spending 2 nights instead of 2 days) it should connect mumbai to tuticorin/rameshawram instead of nagarcoil as 1081/82 already connects to kanyakumari. this track is negklected. wadi junction gooti deserts but trains stop even in midnight for 5 mnutes. the running staff can be exchanged at gulbaga/solapur/ gooty. udyan express stops at Daund for 10 minutes! almost all express trains to bangalore/chennai are fast apssengers 7031/7032 crwals for 16/17 hrs between mumbai hyderabad while nagpur which si 100 kms more distance from mumabi is connected by 3 superfast trains each taking 1or 2 hrs lesserr than hyderabad trains. again railway preference for bhuwaneshawwr/ vishakahpattanam instaed of It capital Bangalore/Tirupati /chennai! the superfast dr chennai express takes 23 1/2 hrs for 1275 kms while swarajya express takes 20 hrs between mumbai delhi 1384 kms. in country i durantos are plying but no railway minister can ply superfast between mumbai nagalore. catually track pune solapur-wadi needs to be urgently doubled in one yaer . daund-manmad funds need to be diverted here and all passengers in mumbai will easily subscribe to bonds flaoted for thsi purpoise. the track, udyan exppress hyderabad express chennai mail are shame to railways. looking at his track one feels insouth india should separate from the slavery of north india and mumabi/bangalore should be its capital! Wait till 22nd Feb. For safety purpose,you can try tatkal.Tatkal would start on 23 Feb at 8 am. There are 16 seats available in Tatkal from Solapur to Chennai. @anon: Feb 17 (05:41PM) Usually many cancellations happen in last two days and no need to be panicky. Many unused quotas are also released prior to chart preparation. For tatkal also, you need to wait till its opening on 23rd Feb. If you desire to try in Tatkal, do try but cancel this ticket after getting confirmed ticket in Tatkal. I think it should come into RAC at least.. that is my opinion. Please check on 29/30th. I know it is tough with wife and children, but there is no other way out. Most probably it should get confirmed as there are multiple bookings, hence a chance at least for RAC or confirmation. Unfortunately it is right in the middle of the winter season. Paul Sir, It is possible to book tickets onlinie at www.irctc.co.in But i think payment can be made only from credit cards issued in India. go to www.irctc.co.in almost all indian bank card and "All VISA Debit cards (If enabled by card issuer) can also be used for booking tickets through any of the credit card Payment Gateways (ICICI PG, HDFC PG, CITI PG, AXIS PG)" and even amex card can be used... Certainly. You may book e-tickets that are very convenient. Do not go for i-ticket! Dom You can get a confirmed ticket in current reservation also under Forign Tourist Quota based on availability even for the same day just before chart preparation. There is a special counter for this category in Mumbai CSTM reservation complex. You need to show your passport as proof. Most of this type of quota is not availed especially for this train (2 berths in 2AC sleeper and 4 Berths in normal Sleeper. Alternatively you can ask your travel agent to book through either Yatra/cleartrip where they can process the requests on phone also. For credit card payments, Cards issues in India only accepted at IRCTC and other websites.
