Virar is getting stoppages of so many new trains. Even the Bandra Intercity and New Surat Shatabdi spcl train halts at Virar. There are other new ones who are going to stop at Virar. Why ask for a stop when the train already has so many passenger like stops?
2934 used to come 30 mins late at vapi, yet it used to reach mumbai central on time, after giving halt to Karnavati at Valsad, now it cannot catch up or make up speed.
Indian Railways have made a time table seperate for commuters and a different one for railway staff. Why do the railway dosnt give stop of Rajdhani at more stations, because the day it gets late, it reaches late. It cannot make up.
The only facility in Flying Rani is one first class coach, where ST and ticket holders can go otherwise there are tens of other trains which have CC and 2AC and 3AC, 2S and SL stopping at Virar.
As it is there is a big problem in Valsad fast passenger by daily pass holders at VIRAR, anyone just see the state of first class and second class compartments, there is not an inch of space. Absolutely no place to stand.
It because of the netajis, mps and mla who demand stoppages, these trains get so many stops. Because none of the netajis, mps or mlas have a degree in Mechanical, electrical or railway engineering.
Mutiple stops make a train late, because make up time is reduced.

The difficulties of the passengers are understandable but the need is to cater train services to all people on the route who commute on daily basis. In the absence of any alternative to them, how would they commute ? That is why more stops on these Flying Ranee and Valsad Fast Passenger.
Good news is that by June 2010, that is in next 3 months, the WR plans to operate Local trains between Virar -Dahanu section and then there will not be such type of difficulties.

Flying Rani has multiple stops after Valsad, this decision was taken by Western Railway right from the first day of its inception.

Flying ranee is no more flying now. its a fast passenger. It takes 4:40 Hrs for 263 Kms. Train should have non stop run between BILIMORA and SURAT

This is train is basically for daily commuters doing up-down to Mumbai. To cater to the needs of more passengers, more stops after Valsad are required. However the stop times are only 2-2 minutes. Upto Valsad, there is another train Valsad Passenger / 123WR and there also you will find many stops between Virar - Valsad.

I hope railways consider a duronto on this route to surat. I think daily passengers will opt for a faster train than flying

Well concept of Duranto is overnight. No duranto originates in a day and terminates same day. May a new shatabdi/ Janshatabdi / Intercity express departing from ST in morning and coming back in evening to ST is highly recommended.

There is no overnight concept on Duronto trains. Many new durontos including day time durontos are in the offing and they are likely to be announced in the forthcoming budget - 2010. The durontos carry the tag - begin to end - "no intermediate commercial stop" travel irrespective of day or night.

The biggest mistakes of Western Railway:-
1) Stoppage of Flying Rani at Palghar
2) Stoppage of ST-BDTS Intercity at Virar and Boisar
3) Removal of First class from Sayaji Nagari
4) No halt of ST-BDTS Shatabdi at Valsad
5) No I-ticket facility available for Valsad
6) Valsad fast passenger has two siding in the morning and night
7) A time gap of only 15 minutes between Vapi and Valsad for AK Rajdhani express. They can easily give main New Delhi Rajdhani halt at Vapi.
8) Removal of First class from Kutch express

it is very true. it can only be solved by alloting police & TT compulsorily in all bogies... and save the passengers by this daily dadagiriwalas.....
railway authority only can do this to solve.

Karnavati is also not spared. People travel standing in reservation coaches in walking bay. even if you shout they dont even care to move. its better to avoid such trains. dont travel in Flaying Ranee, Valsad without reservation.
