Holds the record for the maximum halt enroute for any kind/type of train.
Gorakhpur - Kolhapur Express Slip (15018-Slip) (Slip Train 1) waits at BSL from from 10:05 hours to 17:50 hours for a whooping time of 465 minutes (7 hours and 45 minutes) where it gets attached to 11040 Gondia - Kolhapur Express. The strange thing here is the same train 11040 again has removal of coaches the next day (Ex-BRC) at DD where the coaches are made to stand from 02:45 hours to 05:15 hours for a period of 150 minutes(Slip Train 2) where it gets attached to 11027 Mumbai CST-Chennai Mail and goes till Solapur where again the Slip Coaches (No 2) are detached and 11027 Mumbai CST-Chennai Mail then proceeds to Chennai.
Anyway useless exercise as none of the passenger will prefer to wait....:)

21028/Solapur-Gondia Maharashtra Exp Slip should be attached to Kanyakumari-Mumbai CST Jayanti Janta Express/16382 Dep from SUR - 20.20 and DD ARR - 23.15 or Madurai-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express/11044 (SUN), Secunderabad - Rajkot Express/17018 (M,T,Sa), Secunderabad - Porbandar Weekly Express/19201 (W), Kakinada Town- Bhavnagar Terminus Express/17204 (Th), Coimbatore-Rajkot Express/16614 (F) Dep SUR - 21.25 ARR DD - 00.25.... Practically if I have to take a train from SUR-NGP why would I take a train which departs at 18.20 from SUR and arrives at DD at 21.50 and wait for 185mins in that train... rather would take Kanyakumari-Mumbai CST Jayanti Janta Express/16382 Dep from SUR - 20.20 and DD ARR - 23.15 and then take the same train departing DD at 00.55 thus saving 2hrs...
Coz only MAS Mail schedule match for UP & DN Direction for this Slip Service!!
Attachment to other train will create haphazardness, as Slip scheduling to two different train for to n fro direction will lead non-smooth mechanism!!
For its return return journey it should be fixed with 12115 Siddeshwar Exp Arr DD-3.35 and G-SUR Slip arrives DD at 2.45
Two different set of of train creates jumble!!
Further, Siddheshwar Exp been SF cant be utilized to stay @ DD for augmentation (& same goes for other fast version trains)!!
Trains which dont start from SUR will face dual time lost (augmentation @ SUR & detachment @ DD), leading to 1-1.5 hrs increase in run-time!!
In both situation, IRI blogger will someday start blaming IR to charge SF charge with huge slack!!
Should there be NGP-SUR express via SC?? It will provide fastest route for Solapur from Nagpur.
extend present ngp-sc tri weekly for sur conncetion , no point of introducing another train via sc from ngp
NGP-SUR via SC should run on same timings of NGP-SC tri-weekly on remaining 4 days a week. This will serve the purpose.
via Latur-Purna will be Much better and Shorter Route
Will provide Connectivity to Marathwada region too to Nagpur and Solapur apart from Short Distance
better run daily till sur
The problem with Latur-purna route is number of reversals. Nagpur-Kolhapur express is currently connecting these areas right now. Waise to maharashtra link express se Solapur to Nagpur 23 hours lagte hai. via SC 16-17 hrs me pahuch jayenge...
NGP-SC triweekly is currently doing very well and hence should not be extended in my opinion.
why cant this train start at at 8:30 pm from SUR and then get attached at DD with maharashtra express..currently people who travel in it beyond DD will be waiting for 3 hours ( not sure how many people use this train to travel to vidarbha region) ...but surely if it is rescheduled by 2 hours at SUR surely will be much more beneficial to pax..
only 1 coach. if reshed, will be definately good for pax.
I would prefer to book two tickets for 28th July from KPG to SUR. Current status is RLWL3/RLWL3. Would it get confirmed. There is only one SL coach for all quota in this train.
I have seen the past PNR history...I am not getting confidence. Thought I would take an expert advice before proceeding. I have to plan my upward and downward journey from SBC to KPG based on this train. This is the only stretch in which I don't have availability.
27th YPR-UBL by Jan Shatabdi/Chalukya = AVBL
27th UBL-KPG by Goa Slip = AVBL
28th KPG-SUR by Maharashtra Slip = RLWL3
